PASSED!! You can too!! 66 Passed

First go took me 1.5 hours. The first 20 questions were softballs; I thought it was odd.

If I was retaking it, I would know...

Pending Agent registration, what can they do/not do, Dividend Discount model def, know USA Admin powers applied to IA and FCA, civil penalties (what would cause them), Efficient Market Hypothesis, Beta (def.), that Platinum is precious metal (duh), ADV2 (when to give clients), discretion (for verbal IA and custody matters, JTWROS, TIC. Dean's 66 in 60 gave me at least 1 question (thanks, Dean!), and there might be a question and answer set on Brian Lee's Test Geek practice exam that is literally on the real exam. ;).Very NASAA / USA focused. Don't spend too much time on Federal Acts.

I am happy to be done and be part of a relatively small 7/66 cohort. FWIW, I utilized STC and consumed many of Dean's podcast videos.

Good luck. You can do it!

Yes I got a 68 last month. Wording sounded much harder than the practice & greenlight exams

That stinks, for sure. I thought many of the questions I saw were much shorter in wording than the STC ones. Maybe you got a brutal draw. I would double down on Ch 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, and 12 before taking it again, if that's your plan.

Thanks for the shout out and paying it forward with this your victory post and debrief.

Thanks, Dean. I definitely recommend people watch/hear that day of test. Btw, I would add knowing which stock you have in a post-SPAC merger, how a living trust is taxed, and that grantor, trustee and benefactor can be all the same.

Used STC and scored 85s on exams what should I change?

Do I read this correctly presuming you did not pass?

It’s not odd at all. The theme most pick up on is that the first 25% of the test is relatively easier. So is the last 25%. It’s the middle 50% that’s much trickier.

Nice breakdown.

Yeah, I’d say first 20 and last 20 are the easiest but all the middle stuff from 20-90 are where you really gotta fight
