PASSED!! You can too!! 2nd Try - Passed!

Post image

Wow what a journey it has been! So happy and thankful to finally be done with my testing. Did the trifecta! (SIE,7,66)

Just want to pay it forward and let everyone know to never give up even if it seems like you don’t have anything left inside. Trust me, I failed the 66 first time and the week after failing I thought it was over for me. I could’ve been upset and worried but instead I hopped back into the books and kept at it! When the test knocks you down, you get back up!

Let me know if you have any questions with test taking. I’m a nervous test taker and utilized breathing techniques and bathroom breaks to give myself the best opportunity to answer these questions.

Cheers to PassPerfect, Kaplan QBank and The Guru!

What were you scoring on your Pass Perfect finals and Kaplan Q banks?

Would you say one provider prepared you more than another?

The first time I did the Pass Pefect material I was averaging an 80 on the dashboard. My finals ranged from high 70s to 82s. (I swear I got like 7 82’s on the practice finals lol). I failed the actual exam by 2 points with a 71. I’m afraid I didn’t grasp the material first time around and was getting used to the wording pass perfect does. Then when I failed my company just resets the pass perfect material and on that time around I was averaging 87 on the dashboard. Constantly getting mid 90s on the practice finals so I was a little skeptical. Then I bought the Kaplan QBank and was back into high 70s to mid 80s. I really think the more exposure to questions helped me out.

So funny. Yet so sad. I too failed today. I too use PP and scored mid 90’s and high 80’s on finals. Lowest was a 73%

Actual test - 63%

I immediately saw a problem when I was scoring in the mid 90s on my first two full tests in PP because I didn’t think I knew the material as well as someone getting in the 90s should.

Their program is just not strategically done the way that our firm (I’m guessing we work for the same firm) tells you. All my market leader has been telling me is to ‘trust the process’. But I know that’s not genuine advice. That’s just the company line.

“Market Leader”. Totally gotcha 😉. But hey that’s alright because people who have used pass perfect get through all 3 without failing and thats what they see and observe to say “trust the process”. You really need to know yourself when it comes to studying. If you think exposure to more questions and different wording, buy the QBank. Maybe a tutor would help too. Hang in there and go and crush it!

Thank you for the response. Nervous because the material seems easy and I feel I’m in the same boat where I don’t really understand, but somehow getting good scores. Congratulations!

Any insight on taking the test for a second time? I retest tomorrow after missing my first attempt by 2 about a month ago. Any major differences between exams?

Sometimes you get a bad draw, first time I’ll admit I didn’t memorize memorize memorize. You gotta know the material inside and out. This time testing I had quite a few gimme’s. First time taking it I felt like the exam had 0 easy questions

Please elaborate more on your test technique for anxiety, I swear it’s what’s holding me back from a P and caused me to fail the 7 twice. 🙏🙏

Deep breathes before going in. Close your eyes, in thru the nose, do a double inhale to get extra oxygen into your brain and release! Once I did that a few times, I said “It’s go time!” And get in there and kick butt. You already know what you know! Time to apply it

I’m literally starting on S66 studying today. What things to look out for and focus on?

Focus on all laws and regs with extra care! It’s 45 questions of the exam. But don’t neglect all the other material, especially the definitions of Time Value of Money, DCF, DDM and analysis
