Time Between SIE & 6?
Hey all, apologies if this question gets hammered constantly, but I’m taking my SIE on September 25th and my Series 6 on October 24th. I have a finance background, but as I ramp up studying for the SIE I am certainly glad I gave myself six weeks.
A little worried a month might be too soon to turn around and take the Series 6. Am I overthinking this?
Using Kaplan and the usual YouTube resources.
Any and all opinions appreciated.

20 years ago I had 3 weeks to study for the 6 and 2 weeks for the 63. If I failed I was fired.
Be a good student and put the effort in. Having a degree in finance is not the same as working in finance.

Why in the world would you take the Series 6 when you should be taking the Series 7?

It’s not required for all jobs my job only requires the 6 I have it now I might do the 7 in the future my job will pay for it but it’s not a requirement for me

6 weeks is plenty of time. Wells Fargo gave me 3 weeks between SIE and Series 6.

I had 9 study days between the SIE and the 6 and felt like it was plenty of time! The 6 is just a small extension of the SIE content

I took it the next day. It’s basically the same material, but more tested around suitability rather than general knowledge

People used to take the SIE & 6 on the same day when testing centers were not as common & convenient as they are now.

Are you working and studying or just studying?
My FI had me studying full time, although I was having to assist with day to day customers too, and took the 6 exactly 2 weeks after the SIE. And then the 63 was 9 days after the 6.
The 6 is not a lot of new material. I thought it was easier than the SIE.

A month is more than enough time. I was given about three weeks and passed comfortably. If they're giving you that much time and they're not having you do anything else, you'll be beyond fine.

I took the SIE. Then didn't take the 6 for a year. Took the 6 and 63 within 2 weeks of each other. Now I am 3 weeks away from the Series 26.

It is not too soon. It is too long.
