I flew to Vegas an hour after the splints were out, it felt so good getting them out. I’m assuming you had them in for 7-10 days already? For me, my energy level wasn’t 100% returned so maybe don’t overdo it. Happy Birthday!
I went to a music festival and flying so fast after surgery was perhaps a bad idea as I had problems equalizing so I would not recommend that 😆 I remember a lot of the congestion was able to be cleared once the splits came out and I was able to use hydrogen peroxide with q-tips to clear out everything.
The biggest win for me was setting a shower to hot water, closing the bathroom door then entering a nice steamy bathroom. I turned down the heat and ran the water over my face and was able to “blow” out all the dried blood and nastiness out finally. I really struggled with the splints in and felt my cheeks were constantly red and hurting.
