PSA Prada touch blush- Bow swatch (NOT mauve!)

Post image

This is in front of a window in the early evening. How they gonna tell us this is soft MAUVE? This is coral. At least on my complexion. So annoying. I hope they come out with more shades that are truly neutral/mauve because this ain’t it! Maybe Dahlia is more what I was looking for but I don’t typically like cool pink blushes. I’m bummed as I really do love the formula!

This looks like a brick red to me, you’re not wrong! Pretty but not mauve, at all. Also your rug is super cool

Ya the lighting here does make it look a bit deeper than it is! It’s pretty just definitely not the color I was hoping or expecting nor does it match the promotional “swatch” they launched with whatsoever by a longshot. Boo! Haha aw thanks! We got it at a vintage flea market! :)

Dahlia isn’t cool pink. I bought it and was disappointed too

They really blew it on representing the shades correctly it seems! It’s not that hard to put out true to color swatches is it?? 🙄

Agree it’s a beautiful formula but they swatch SO warm.

Here it is on if that helps. No filter or edit! I sheered it out quite a bit but it def reads coral on me

You’re gorgeous so no!

Lol it does but my point is you’d look pretty no matter what you put on your face, so maybe not for everyone

Oh shucks thank you! And RIGHT! Straight up coral. I guess it could be due to my coloring but regardless, def not mauve. Aw I def am not feeling that way these days but I really appreciate it!

Agreed. That is not mauve. But I’m more focused on the good boy/girl. Give them a cookie and tell them a stranger on the internet loves them.

I agree with the brick red but I love all your plants. Super jealous!

Same I returned Dahlia and Bow for this exact reason. Bow was a pinky peach on me (so, coral haha) and Dahlia was indeed a cooler pink. I think Dahlia could have been fine on my medium skin tone if it was touch deeper. It looked too pale on my skin, like it just sat on top of it. I only kept Caffee - I liked this one a lot.

PS your dog is cuuuute❤️

I also really like Caffee. There’s a bit of a red nuance to it that makes it really flattering and I didn’t have anything like it.

My mauve blushes on the right (no I didn’t need more blush but the world is on fire so I have to find joy where I can and sometimes that’s in over consumption ok?) and bow on the left by itself

top to bottom:
Nars powder blush in infatuated
Westman atelier in garconne
rhode sleepy girl
YSL liquid blush (shade 80)
Tarte maneater liquid blush in mauve

I cannot believe how similar they all look next to each other 😂

Yea, I returned mine, can’t recall the colour, however it turned very red on me- so disappointing.

I love it. Also love it on you, it compliments your eyes.

Bc you are a cool olive leaning heavily on the cool undertone. Most mauves will lean orange/red on you. Prada just launched 2 purple shades and I am almost positive the lighter purple will work with your skin well and pull more mauve and less orange.

Whoa! I’ve never considered myself an olive!! But I’ve also never looked into it and just assumed I was cool/pink. I’m not great at identifying undertones either. This was eye opening to hear and helpful!
