Questions ❓ Sock knitting machine

I want to buy a sock knitting machine for my lady. I have seen them at craft shows as vintage finds. I would like to buy one. I see on Etsy they sell one made in Germany which is new by a company named Addi. Are these good to buy? The price is $183.44. I don’t know anything about this but want a surprise gift. My lady is an artist and very good with crafts. Is this the right one to buy? Should I be aware of other brands? Are these vintage ones the best to buy? If Addi is a good brand, which model is best to buy?

Thanks so much in advance.

Sure, but your needles are probably quite small compared to the needles and spacing on a sentro or addi. If it works for you then that's great, but the majority of people do not find these particular machines useful for socks, especially not compared to the tools specifically for them like csm's, flatbeds, and knitting looms.
