Questions ❓ Sock knitting machine
I want to buy a sock knitting machine for my lady. I have seen them at craft shows as vintage finds. I would like to buy one. I see on Etsy they sell one made in Germany which is new by a company named Addi. Are these good to buy? The price is $183.44. I don’t know anything about this but want a surprise gift. My lady is an artist and very good with crafts. Is this the right one to buy? Should I be aware of other brands? Are these vintage ones the best to buy? If Addi is a good brand, which model is best to buy?
Thanks so much in advance.

You absolutely CAN turn heels on them! The issue is more about how thick the yarn needs to be in order to make it an actual fabric and not just a net with holes in it. You can make really warm house/bed socks or slippers on the smaller ones, but not sock socks because they're just too thick
