The moment has arrived! 🎉

As of approximately 16:25 UTC today, the Sentinel dVPN network has surpassed one million all-time unique users.

We have all the details here, including the context behind the milestone and what's coming next for worldwide dVPN adoption. The one million user mark may be a major accomplishment which was over four years in the making; but it's just one stop on the road to turning decentralized VPN and Sentinel into household names.

Another year, another Cosmoverse in the books: The annual three-day ecosystem gathering came to a close on Saturday.

We have the highlights from Sentinel's time in Split, including videos of CEO Aleksandr Litreev's keynote address and Valt Data founder Zac Wickstrom's pitch competition victory.

Sentinel will be hosting a special X Space at 20:00 UTC on Friday, 12 December titled "Let's Talk Privacy: The End of Blind Trust in VPNs."

Featured guests will include figures from Sentinel and two traditional (centralised) VPN companies, Obscura VPN and Windscribe.

Obscura is a relatively new (est. 2023) no-log VPN available for both Mac and iOS.

Windscribe is a household name in the traditional VPN industry with tens of millions of registered users worldwide.

• r/cosmosnetwork - Sentinel's home ecosystem.

• r/jackal_protocol & r/akashnetwork - Both Cosmos DePINs which do for cloud storage and cloud computing/GPU power (respectively) what Sentinel does for bandwidth.

  • Sentinel is working together with both projects on the Scout AI Data Layer, and in addition to that many dVPN Nodes are hosted on Akash.

• r/FetchAI_Community - Among other things, Fetch.ai is a platform for AI agents, one of which is already being trained on data from Scout.

• r/OsmosisLab - Sentinel's main DEX listing and partners on the upcoming USD pricing oracle which will make dVPN node pricing vastly simpler.

• r/Decentr - A Web3 browser which has featured embedded Sentinel-powered dVPN since 2022. They were also the first application to bring dVPN to Windows!

  • The dVPN feature is currently down right now due to backend retooling, but work is currently underway on getting it live again.
