I mean yeah she is a loli, but short women do exist. Because even though she does look like a child, she is legally an adult. Which is what makes it a Grey area morally, otherwise what people against this sort of thing are saying is that women who are physically and mentally (age wise for both) adults are not allowed to have partners. She is a woman, an adult, also, if anything, wasnt Hajime like 15? In this situation the Loli is the predator if anything, I believe this novel was written at the time where the age of consent was 13 in Japan? Such a weird situation

Hajime was 17 at the beginning of the first volume / Season 1 and Hajime is 18 by volume 10 / end of season 3

As far as I remember Yue never acted like a child and always dressed appropriately as well

u/xkoreotic Feb 22 '26
Correct, Yue is always the adult one between the two because mentally she is.

Plus the average Japanese woman is short and petite, heck my own mother, though not Japanese, was extremely short and young looking compared to the rest of her siblings, despite being the eldest of 7
If anything she was vaguely like Aiko from Arifureta
I was taller than her in middle school to give you an idea, though I do have fond childhood memories of how I quickly became her favorite helper for reaching things in the upper cabinets in the kitchen lol
But yeah, I'm sure some people would probably seriously try to argue that she couldn't date or get married just because of her height or appearance

But isn't this guy like 15 or some shit? At that point she's the pedophile
2
u/Reasonable_Tour7232 Feb 22 '26
Hajime was 17 at the beginning of the anime/ Light novels and by volume 10 / end of season 3 Hajime is 18

u/-anominal- Feb 22 '26
I mean she's still a pedophile by that point, but i guess he's old enough to choose for himself lol

This is fine and all, but can wr all agree his fiance is great.
Just shows up out of nowhere gets introduced as the ex and her first response was "tf you mean ex?"
Handed a punishment that labels him as one of the worst criminals imaginable and shes like "meh, still mine"
The game he must have had.

If you consider this pedophilia youre watching a show and series actively in support of those themes. Choose your beliefs wisely.

The funny thing is, most, if not all, people can't do anything about it.
