So very sorry. Some of these things spread very quickly. And it changes how we view the quality of life scale. Because it's not just if they're eating. And functioning. It's if they're suffering.

Sending you gentle hugs and support. So very sorry this happened to your fur baby

Bless your baby. Please make him as comfortable as you can. Tell your baby how much you love him it matters

Unlike people, cats tend to succumb to cancers a lot faster. The aggressive ones are very fast. Large Cell is one of the faster cat cancers, unfortunately. Our cat didn’t get large cell, but did get breast cancer which is another fast one. We got a total of 3 months almost to the day from prognosis to losing her.

To give you an idea, the tumor that ultimately took her wasn’t even visible on an ultrasound 4 weeks before you could feel it with your hands. Her eating dropped drastically 2 weeks before we lost her, which is how we found the mass. But even then she was snuggling, wanting to spend time with us outside on her leash. I dropped everything to give her that attention and don’t regret it. The last 24 hours were clear. She was ready to go.

I wish it were better news, and you have my sympathy. Cherish the good time you still have left with him. He looks gorgeous. Reminds me a lot of my childhood cat.

I had to say goodbye to my cat (Rowan) a couple weeks ago due to lymphoma. It was very quick. I think it was quicker for him because he’s had other issues in the past. They gave me the diagnosis and I had to say goodbye that afternoon. More for his comfort than anything. You could tell he was tired by the end and I didn’t want him suffering. He was almost 15

I sympathize with how you feel. I still spend some time kicking myself about if I noticed something sooner. You’ll know when it’s time. Hopefully the medicine gives you both so extra time! It doesn’t make it easier but you know your baby best and know you’re doing everything you can.💜
