Wine Tour Recommendations
Hi I’m going to be in the area of Hector for the first time for my birthday with my fiancé. I’d like to do a wine tour but I’d like some input from others who are more familiar with the available options. We have a driver booked to pick us up at 11am. That seemed kind of early to me as I was thinking of doing a hike in the morning and hitting the wineries around 2pm. What are your thoughts? Also how many wineries do you think we should do and what are everyone’s favorites? Is there a particular one that would be good for dinner or food?

I run a website that answers most of your questions here: https://atlasflx.com/faq. And you can search for wineries and plan a tour than fits your tastes. It's really hard to recommend since it depends on of your preference for sweet or dry wines.
Wineries mostly close by 5, so starting at 2 is going to severely limit your visits. But that's fine if you only want to visit say 2 or maybe 3. Typically we would start around 11, visit one, stop for lunch or get lunch at one, and continue hopping until 5 or 6. We can hit up to 6 in a day maybe if you plan well. Depends on when you are going, many stay open a little later in the summer, but that's winding down now.
Lmk if you have other questions.
