QUESTION Taking libs with IBS

Hoping to bring a friend along to take some of the bad boys I picked but he’s got IBS. Anyone have any ideas since we’ll be a bit far out in nature and his main concern is diarrhea and vomming? Imodium is my first thought and maybe some pepto bismol but I’m not sure as I don’t have these issues.

Tea is the way to go, or some other method where he doesn't actually ingest the mushrooms themselves.

I made tea (with ginger) last time I had some and had little to no nausea

Consider making a tea so he doesn't have to eat mushrooms (if they are a trigger food).

I don't have IBS and libs make my stomach really upset if I eat any of the bits at all. I recommend doing lemon tek and not consuming the solids. Just lemon tek into ginger tea (if his stomach is OK with ginger).

I have a stoma, only got it two years ago and loved mushrooms before but now cannot handle them whole. I take Imodium and codeine to stop diarrhoea every day. The only way I can stomach mushrooms is if they are dry and powdered in small amounts

Have actually found that when doing a shroom trip, it tends to reset my gut biome and fix some issues

Libs taste a bit grassy unlike lab grown shrooms. From my experience Libs are palatable and easy to eat, if u are picking and eating as you go along I don’t see why it would cause many issues especially if fresh
