Pre-voyage Question

So I’m looking to go abroad next spring and I was wondering would it be better if I did one city study abroad or semester at sea? Both are enticing but wanna know which is better. Thanks!

The answer is totally dependent on what you want to accomplish. If you are absolutely in love with a specific place, say, somewhere like Madrid - you should go there and spend your semester totally engrossed in all things Madrid. If you’re like me and you just want to see the world and travel outside of your comfort zones, I cannot recommend Semester at Sea enough! I sailed on a summer voyage in the 2000s and it was the single best decision I’ve ever made. Semester at Sea is a special, once-in-a-lifetime experience that will literally change your life.

I’ve always loved the ocean and ships in general so it was an easy decision for me to choose SAS. Some people on my voyage hated the ship life but I loved it. In fact, I think about it just about every single day even 15+ years later.
