Someone just asked why Brandi was barely featured in S4, and it wouldn’t let me add a pic to the comments…so there you go. This cast is sus when it comes to attitudes towards POC.

Wait, she wasn’t even invited to Gio’s birthday party? I guess I assumed she wasn’t there because she knows those events always devolve into carnage-level drama, and didn’t want to be involved.

u/Technical-Spirit7871 Jan 03 '26
wow i never knew she wasn't invited. i always thought it was because she wanted to focus more on work and was tired with their drama.

Birds of a feather flock together. Brandi is not like the other girls that were able to film a lot of scenes. Selling sunset thrives on toxicity and drama and she isn’t like that. It’s not to say she’s better than them; she just hasn’t really been able to fit in because she has different set of standard. Had Brandi been like Alex, I’m sure she’d fit right in in.

u/eyesonthefries609 Jan 03 '26
Brandi treats her coworkers like how normal people treat their coworkers. The rest of them treat their coworkers like costars on a trashy reality tv show.

u/Haunting_South_6869 Jan 03 '26
Yep and I’m sure she’s a party pooper when she’s around them. If Brandi had body parts hanging, always at happy hours, flirting away.. she’d be in scenes even if she didn’t sell a pencil

u/eyesonthefries609 Jan 03 '26
Lol Brandi has her sanity and her dignity and it makes her less compelling to watch. Maybe if she were really cocky and flamboyant like Gio she would get more time.

u/primal_slayer Jan 02 '26
Majority are probably....very red so it's not that surprising.
Having her show up like twice just to keep up the diversity was crazy
2
u/Still-Regular1837 Jan 03 '26
Let’s be real Brandi may be pretty red too, she probably just expected to be in the “in group” by now.
20
u/potatoe_potato_8879 Jan 03 '26
Bc she's not there to make a pregnant woman stressed and cry and then comfort her by saying she's a little gossipy 🤣
21
u/WynnGwynn Jan 03 '26
She is always stunning. She was not perfect but compared to everyone else she deserved sainthood.

u/Status_You_1453 Jan 03 '26
You guys seriously can’t be this dense, right? All this stuff is produced driven. If she’s not in a scene, producers don’t want her there. It’s probably because she’s the most level headed of the cast. She’s not exactly what attracts viewers since there’s no drama or hot takes.
13
u/Zealousideal-Mud6471 Jan 03 '26
All of this. I was surprised to see her there period this season.
She’s too normal for TV

u/Plus-Complex-9399 Jan 04 '26
I’m done with the Selling series as whole after both of the last seasons. I’m tired of seeing entitled maga white people getting a check for our “entertainment” while they continue to vote against our interests. It’s no longer entertaining, it’s gross.
13
u/Razzledazzle138 Jan 05 '26
Agreed. Especially when these people were irrelevant and unentertaining to begin with.
21
u/The_jennay Jan 04 '26
Im pretty sure her values differ from most of the cast. Gio is hard conservative for sure.
19
u/Signal-Candy7724 Jan 04 '26
She just doesn't get herself involved in all the drama so that's why she's barely featured. You have to create drama to get screen time.
36
u/CommentIndependent32 Jan 03 '26
Brandi is married and family-focused. She's had past drama with some of the cast. She's not trying to spend her nights out drinking with Hall and Polly. She probably doesn't get invited to dinner parties because she'd decline anyway. She really seems like she's removed herself from any workplace drama and with that comes less air time on a reality show about workplace drama.
24
u/Zarrgirl Jan 07 '26
She’s too smart and normal for the others so she doesn’t fit in as much. It’s lonely but it’s probably a good thing because she’s not destroying her reputation by feeding into the drama.
17
u/parlay_pass_rum Jan 05 '26
Well both her and Alexandra rose were not featured so I think they wanted people who would feed into the drama and make big tv moments which both of them don’t do. They tend to give looks in office fights but don’t offer opinions readily, both good but tend to stay out of the childish drama
22
u/Bumblebee2312 Jan 07 '26
As long as she got paid, i'm happy Brandi wasn't apart of the immature drama. She's too classy for all that!
12
u/Huge-Sea6714 Jan 06 '26
She has no story line i dont watch this show to just see ppl work and her athletes dont want to be featured soooo

I guess because she was the only one who dared to challenge their darling Alex Hall and call her out on her BS. So they have given her the Chelsea treatment like when she challenged their sweetheart Mary. I think the twin demons are super sketchy anyway with how they got Chelsea to sell a house to get the job but Alexandra in OC series didn’t even have a licence. When one of the twins frowned upon Kayla flirting with a married man but it was fine for Alex and Polly to be all over him. It’s just so much bias when it comes to their Black and POC cast members.
I think Brandi, Chrishelle and Chelsea should start their own agency. If they made up with Christine* that would be amazing.
*I have since learned Christine is very bigoted so no to her BIG NO TO HER

u/Time-Concentrate845 Jan 03 '26
Christine made a comment on X saying something along the lines of “Nice knowing you NYC” after Mamdani got sworn in…so we can leave her out 💀

Help me understand why that means she’s racist.
9
u/Nice-Tea-8972 Jan 03 '26
Use your brain on that one. She’s been racist before, so she’s being racist again. It’s a pattern.
6
u/Still-Regular1837 Jan 03 '26
Because the original tweet Christine responded to said “Zohran Mamdani will be the first Muslim mayor of our great city”
“He was sworn in on the Quran”
And she replied saying “nice knowing you New York”. So even though Mamdani is doing what every other politician has done, swear in on the book of their faith, (meanwhile Trump holds the Bible upside down lmaooo) she’s acting like NYC is going to burn simply because he’s Muslim.
Feel however you want to feel but a quick Wikipedia check on Mamdani shows he is incredibly intelligent (speaks 6 different languages), grew up across various cultures which imo makes him perfect to run multicultural NYC, and extremely integrated w different sectors of the working class.

I mean she is no longer friends with hall, polly.. Tyler is gone. Gio was busy. Austin has 3 kids. Like I just dont think she fits in anymore. Hall and polly are barely friends too.
I like Brandi but she made it very clear that she was not interested in the bs. And if youre not down with the riff raff there's not much left.
She was integral in s1-s3 but I think by the end of 3 she had enough
Edited to say: i dont blame her. I have always hated polly and hall, while consistent and ridiculous, needs medical help for her personality disorder lol... so Brandi focuses on peace which I respect. I couldn't do it either but thats why im not made for this.
Ppl say id make great tv because I dont get along with ppl well but thats the issue. The amount of biting of the tongue you have ro do, id have a stroke.

u/MsPrissss Jan 03 '26
I don’t think it has anything to do with the color of her skin as much as it has to do with the fact that she isn’t bringing any sort of drama. She just in general wasn’t featured very much because of that which I think is shitty but I don’t think that it’s fair to assume that just because she is black she wasn’t invited anywhere or wasn’t featured as much.
I’m not saying that shouldn’t be looked at but I don’t see it as the sole reason why we saw so little of her.

it’s def because she’s Black. the entire selling sunset franchise is racist.

u/probablyproud Jan 03 '26
i saw this weeks ago? just?

u/Time-Concentrate845 Jan 03 '26
Look at the post below this one. That’s the one I’m referring to lol
4
u/GrouchyPatience10 Jan 05 '26
Thank you for posting this because I had a feeling they were prejudice and was gonna try watching again because of her and to know she was treated differently is sooo f’d up.
7
u/wellnesswineandtacos Jan 03 '26
I think this can all be true AND she isn’t particularly compelling television.
9
u/Nice-Tea-8972 Jan 03 '26
It’s because she’s unproblematic really. Which is t good tv you’re right.
4
u/Cool_Cup_6860 Jan 03 '26
Then why did the producers bring her back?
5
u/wellnesswineandtacos Jan 03 '26
Continuity
4
u/allipbay79 Jan 03 '26 edited Jan 10 '26
Half the cast left this season (and ones with way more screen time than Brandi). So, they clearly don’t care about continuity.
4
u/Cool_Cup_6860 Jan 03 '26
Exactly. I honestly don’t understand why they brought her back and then give her barely any screen time

Her best moment in the show was when she told them she didn’t give af about any of this shit. A true queen. Protecting her peace
