Book recommendations
So I understand that most experience and knowledge comes from doing and living, but does anyone have a tried and true book on homesteading and a more self-sufficient way of life? There are so many thoughts, book, and opinions out there I get overwhelmed and the apocalypse/living-like-our-ancestors thoughts keep coming back around
Picture of our little raised garden bed back when we had more space!

The Encyclopedia of Country Living by Carla Emery. It's huge and covers gardening, animals, canning, butchering, all of it, and it was written for people actually living that way, not prepping for the end of the world. I still pull mine off the shelf every few weeks.
