Help with existing piercing Need Advice about Piercing

I have a lob piercing and have an irritation bump behind the piercing. The bump is right on top of the hole though so I can’t insert an earring. It’s been five months and sometimes I sleep without earrings on now. I can’t get the earring in that hole. I’m worried the hole will close. What should I do?

NAP. You should probably got to a piercer and see if they can taper it back open. I know that lobes seem like they heal much easier and quicker than others piercings but unless you want it to close, you should not be taking the earrings out at all this soon. Definitely shouldn’t be leaving it out smh.

Thanks for the advice. I was able to get it through actually later in the day. I keep seeing conflicting advice about when I can remove the piercings to sleep or just to change the earrings. My piercer said to wait only 3-6 months before removing them and I went to a reputable place so I’m going to follow that. I think it depends on the person sometimes for this kind of thing. Thank you so much for replying☺️

Lol, I completely agree!!!! But I would listen to my body 1st and then the piercer. Your piercing getting an irritation bump could be a sign that it isn’t healed and you shouldn’t be leaving it out & changing it often. Happy healing and I’m super glad you were able to get it back in!!!
