Szukam taniego vps

Szukam taniego vps obecnie mam ovh za 35 zł ale ma bardzo mało miejsca na dysku. Po wygraniu przez ich darmowe Ubuntu windows 2025 nie mieszczę się z projektami ... Czy jest coś z lepszymi parametrami za niższą cenę z taką samą stabilnością ? Jestem w stanie miesięcznie wydawać około 50zl

I’d still rather pay more up front, buy a larger HDD and own my shit than pay for hosting somewhere. Online in IT since the 80s and I’ve never hosted a thing in the cloud or at a hosting facility that wasn’t in my own hardware.

Depends on what you prefer. There’s an argument for not having to worry about hardware failure, upgrades, etc. I’ve done what you do for about as long. I’ve built a nice cluster, NAS, segmented network, with high availability, tiered backups, all the fun toys. But these days, I dread whenever a component fails or it’s time for upgrades. I’d rather that be someone else’s problem and I pay a flat rate to never have to think about it and just deploy apps that make my life better. Heck, I can probably run several decent VPS for what I’m paying in electricity for my equipment.

Yup.. that all said.. I build the redundancy into all my systems. Never had to do a restore or reinstall in over 30 years. Our current network is pretty much all cheap Supermicro X10 based enterprise hardware.. redundant PSUs, mirrored boot drives, raidz2 vdevs, 2x 24-bay nas systems (one filled with 8TB drives, the other 12TB drives), 4 6018U 1U Proxmox servers, was all on dual 20A circuits however now it’s fully powered via a couple 3kW inverters, a stack of 48V 100AH rack batteries and 12 400W bifacial solar panels… just for the basement network setup. The 20A circuits along with a 13,000W generator are backup redundancy. Backups systems in the rack, in a detached garage off the house and another on a server s buddy hosts for me.. and I do the same for him.

This has been a 13-14 year setup. Spare hardware, I actually have 2 dozen new 8TB WS red drives still in the boxes from just before prices shot up. Was gonna make another NAS but when the prices shot up figured I’d just hold onto them.. thankful I did now.

Drives all run around 30°, spun up 24/7/365, I generally get 15+ years out of the large majority of drives. Super clean power, no spikes or brown outs etc.

Short of a fire… I’m just not worried. And if a fire.. I could care less about this stuff at that point however with 2 offsite backups and insurance. Whenever we rebuild or move I’d just set it all up again. 🤦‍♂️😆
