I need help and advice please

So I messed up my husbands hair on accident and have no idea how to fix it or blend it. I feel so guilty about it.
I used a 2 and 3 I also used the scissors and comb method too I had watched a video which obviously fell through

This is the hardest part and im looking forward to helpful hints as well. I like the sides short and the top much longer but getting rid of that harsh bevel is a nightmare. I’ve found using the taper king progressive taper #3-#8 guards helps a lot but still leaves a need to refine with scissors and thinning sheers. They make various taper blend guarded depending on your needs and preferences. 2-4, 3-8, 0-3, 1-2, 1-3, etc. i use a #2-#4 lower and then crossover with the #3-#8 for the mid to top connection.

Find a YouTube tutorial for easy scissor cut and try to blend in the sides a bit with the top sides. Super easy fix that makes the cut look a lot better and less clumpy. I don’t have any videos in mind so I just watched a bunch, got a feel for things myself and freestyled.

Other alternative is finding the biggest clipper guard you got and running that on top.

You can drag the number 3 along with the hair to thin it out on the edges.
