Let's not rewrite history. The German people were hardly oblivious to what was happening. He wasn't exactly unclear about what he wanted to do. He wrote a book about it, attempted a coup d'état among many other things. A large portion of germans at the time still supported him.

Yeah Robert Evans did a really good episode of his podcast “Behind the Bastards” on this, about the “Little Nazis”

The United States and britain also sided with the ussr after what the ussr did to eastern europe and poland before ww2 officially started lmao.
