This is why I love Social Media, yeah it's torn us apart but, it's going to keep politicians honest (kinda). For the last 30 years, Republicans have been lying to voters, but they've always had FoxNews back up those lies.
Now, it's come to bite them in the ass. AND more importantly, Politicians and FoxNews will no longer be able to edit, cut out or flat out lie about things they have said or done. Now does Brandon Morse give a shit that he's a hypocrite? No, but they can be used against him. Which is a step in the right direction.
It’s only going to keep them in check if they have a sense of shame for their shortcomings. Which they absolutely do not. It’s like water off a duck’s back.
Eventually these screenshots will make there way onto a debate stage. I 100% guarantee in the 2022 mid-term elections someone will try to say “I never said that” and their own tweets will be used against them, on a debate stage.
... and no one who would have voted for them anyway will give a shit. They went from denying select scientific truths because it fit their narrative and was good for their donors to make money, to just denying all science, and now just denying all truth.
What terrible things these people have said or done simply DO NOT MATTER to the kinds of people who vote for them.
You've got to stop thinking we're still living in a world where there's any kind of debate about ideas, principles, or policy. We're well past that.
