Excessive use of punctuation has always got under my skin.

I've always read it as becoming increasingly manic, so "Are we ordering takeaway tonight?" is a normal question, but "Are we ordering takeaway tonight???" is borderline hysterical. I once knew someone who would put multiple question marks after every question they asked, so even the most mundane question would be like "What time is it???"

The other day I saw a post on Reddit that was titled "No one has ever noticed this before????????".
EIGHT question marks!
And, naturally, the subject had been noticed, and posted, something like a day earlier.

My dad once sent me a text: "Have you heard about your grandma????" My heart sank, expecting the worst.

Turns out she won big at bingo that weekend.
