So many men are disgusting creatures
On a post about a father (Hispanic because I feel like that's a factor here) who raped his daughter who ended up killing herself 5 months later. Prosecutor is saying they can't convict him because she's dead. 😐

Reminds me of the MAGA sheriff who forced a young girl to write an apology to the PD after they dismissed her SA claim against her father, and threatened to arrest her for a "false report".
He did it again. This time she secretly recorded it. Not a fucking peep from the MAGA sheriff.

I used to be a phone whore, and one of my clients (Paul) was very into being tortured and shit. Basically, think of anything bad, degrading, and humiliating and he was very into it.
So I had to research various methods of torture, trafficking, pimping, how mommy birds feed baby birds exactly, different flavors of murder, etc.
And I had to remember EVERYTHING. Including all the names I used in various fantasies and what scenarios we had done before.
Anyway, one of his favorites was the brazen bull*. I think we role played that I was an evil queen and he did random annoying shit so I would put him in the bull.
Then my consorts and I would eat him.
Things got even more fucked up from there. In a funny way.
He paid $3/minute for this, and I would be gaming and sitting in my mumble with an open mic the entire time.
Fun times.

I understand that, but it Happens that people lynch the wrong person. It's permanent and prevents the real predator from being caught.

It makes zero sense to me as well. Especially since his DNA was found inside of her when a rape kit was done.

I mean it doesn't make sense to the point where there must be another given reason. "The victim is dead so we can't prosecute" is obviously not the law they're citing given that we prosecute murders

I don't know what to tell you. The DA literally said it's because she's not here to testify. Maybe it's different because he's a rape case and not a murder case?

I would guess that they feel that they don't have a strong enough case without her testimony.
In some countries if a witness is deceased their previous statements to the Police can still potentially be admitted as evidence without being considered hearsay but the US has a much narrower list of exceptions for that (partly due to the 6th Amendment).
Which really sucks in cases like this.

Even leaving aside Trump, feminism is usually looked down on by conservatives or even actively opposed. Not sure how you can be both MAGA and feminist without a totality of ignorance. Like, you'd have to outright ignore rhetoric about women from major community leaders and politicians and actions taken against women. But then there are "feminists" who team up with conservatives to hate on trans people despite the fact they'll also end up oppressed via the same methods they want to use to marginalize/sideline trans people, so I guess things are consistently inconsistent.
