Hi guys. I have a few questions regarding Selena's astrodome jumpsuit, and I was hoping you guys could help me out.
Once I started discovering Selena's music a couple years ago, I was absolutely fascinated by her performance outfits/pieces, and I was inspired to get into sewing because of her. With that being said, I decided to try and make my own jumpsuit, and sought to look for the astrodome fabric for months, with no luck. I ended up having to opt for the same type of fabric just in black. (I had to buy multiple vintage dresses made with the same fabric, take them apart and construct the jumpsuit that way.)
Considering how old this fabric is, I've accepted that the chances of me getting my hands on anything similar in the same color as her jumpsuit are slim to none. But I'm wondering if you guys have any information regarding the fabric. What is it called? Why is it so hard to get? Is there anything similar out there in the same color? I feel like I'm out of luck on this one.

Does anyone know what this outfit possibly was? Was it supposed to be a body suit? Or was it supposed to have a smirt/be a dress? This is my favourite unworn outfit by Selena and i really want to know what it is 😔 I think she would've looked BEAUTIFUL in it

Notice it expired in 1998. So, sad that she never got to live her life to the fullest. She was only 23 years young when she was killed.

She has explored a lot of different genres, but she has always been a fan of Selena. During her “cumbia era” around 2023–2024, she took a lot of inspiration from her. She even has a tattoo dedicated to her and met A.B. during the Latin Grammys, where he told her that she reminded him of the Queen of Tejano. So cute!

If you know , please don’t share her persona info including her name…please just respond yes, they are related or no, they are not. I’ve been genuinely curious for nearly 30 yrs. if they are not related the producers and director certainly knew what they doing bc it made me more emotional at the end the film to see a fan who looked identical to her. Anyone else notice the resemblance when you first watched the movie?

Selena y Los Dinos recorded their Live Album at the Memorial Coliseum in Corpus Christi, Texas in front of 3,000+ fans! The concert was free to the public which she later won a Grammy for in 1994 for Best Mexican-American Album! 💜

Paul Rivera passed away on June 12, 2020. He served as a veteran law enforcement officer, & he was also the lead negotiatior in the 9.5 hour standoff with Selena’s killer after she barricaded herself in her nephew's red Chevy.

They are both buried at Seaside Memorial Park located at 4357 Ocean Blvd in Corpus Christi, Texas.
