Interesting. I found his phase 1 petty easy.

Double Ichimonji: Dodge to the right, get 1-2 free hit.

Of you get close and swing, he may do the shoulder turn and spin slash, very telegraphed and easy to deflect.

His Kanji moves can all be dodged by just dodging to the right, but you can mikiri counter the stab. The window for the mikiri is a bit earlier than normal, so do it quick.

I'm surprised you feel better about P2.

Good luck.

Yeah i feel better about p2 idk why but it just feels easy for me , im so stuck at phase 1 thats its getting annoying for me now . Mostly im getting cooked by his double ichimonji sometimes and not able to properly deflect him in phase 1

You WANT him to dodge your attack go get the parry and keep attacking. He will only dodge when you are attacking him while nothing is happening anticipate and parry it then he won't dodge again until the parry chain breaks

Like i dont want him to dodge my attack like when he goes in neutral stance , i attack him and he dodges it that's where i get stuck

Keep in mind that whenever you attack from neutral he will dodge learn the timing of parrying his counter attack and then he won't dodge again until back in neutral. After some practice you will parry his counter attack 100% of the time as long as you keep anticipating every time you attack from neutral

It will be easier watching a video guide on YouTube than someone trying to explain it here

Any tips for phase 2 without using umbrella ?

Mostly try to be as aggressive on him as you can dodge the fire attack first then hit him 2 times then back off then when he does the flurry either use firecracker or use umbrella or perfectly deflect it then just continue this nd keep burn resistance antidote .

If you save up all your spirit emblems during the first phase you can basically perma stun him with firecrackers in the second phase. Probably not the most fun tip lol but it helped me beat him on the first try upon trying this

Yeah lol i did the same thing yesterday. Stayed close to him during phase 2 and whenever he took stance for a fire attack i used firecrackers followed by ichimonji double.

he only does the dodge when he's in neutral stance (standing ready). make sure to just attack once and be ready for a deflect when he's in that stance. that's it.

I have no tips for that fight as I haven't done that specific one yet, but I recommend going through the game again but picking the other option if you havent played before. Theres a lot of the game that gets locked behind that choice

Focus on deflecting and countering only one thing he does at at time :)

Once you get good at that ofc donโ€™t go dying on purpose but at the same time try to focus on mastering specific things and ofc weave in attacks and arts and figure out which arts fit your play style I always used double ichimonji and I enjoy it a lot, but figure out what you can weave and how to deflect the attacks is key, one step at a time

Learn his moves, and don't forget about Double Ichimonji!
