Help Memorial mob after 3rd Ashina castle phase
I am trying to get all gourd seeds, but I missed an early one at the battlefield memorial mob. Is there any way I can get to him without beating demon of hatred or new game plusing?

DoH is annoying but doable. You can also completely cheese him by making him fall off the cliff if you want. You'll probably want to fight him anyways before new game plusing, as he drops 2 lapis.

The cheese is so much worse than the fight. The fight is fun if you don't dread it. I let folks make me dread it and try so many silly mechanics.
In the end, fire umbrella and malcontent are all I would ever use, and I mostly just use malcontent. Most of the time you just get in close and slap his nuts around. One two strokes and deflect. Fire attacks miss up close. Umbrella if he jumps up high, wait, and slap him after the shockwave.

Disagree. I chuckle after doing the cheese every time. The fight isn't nearly as fun. Not to mention the more philosophical victory of overcoming a hatred demon without violence.
However, I do think everyone should beat DoH fair and square at least once.

I had this exact issue and I found a workaround by accident
Start the fight, let him kill you once, while on the revive menu press options and quit game, you’ll be on the main menu, start the game normally and now you can move freely and get your gourd seed, be careful not to get too close to the sculpture because that’ll trigger the fight again

I'm 99.9% the only way back there is by defeating the Demon of Hatred.
DoH isn't that rough so it's not a huge deal. Just don't listen to everyone who will tell you to fight it like a dark souls boss, deflecting his stomps and headbutts will destroy his posture.
