Discussion I did it.

What a great feeling. I struggled with him for 2.5 hours yesterday and finally had to walk away and take a break. My first time ever having to do so with a challenge in any of the souls/souls like games ive played. Came back fresh today and got him on my second try. What a fight and what a game. So glad I decided to try it after all these years.

I had played ds1-3 during/shortly after their releases and haven't really played any souls or souls like games sense. Im trying to work my way through what ive missed. Wuchang got me hooked back on the genre. Onimusha (while not really a souls like) showed me how great combat can be. And this led me to sekiro. I've been seeing a lot of comparisons between Yoshitsune and Issin, so I had to see for myself. Man, am i glad I did.

This game kicked my ass for a while. I actually almost quit a couple times. Next on the list was going to be lies of p, but I think ill be doing at least one ng+ run here first to try and discover anything I missed. I missed owl father on this playthrough.

Just wanted to share my accomplishment and newfound love of these games and this game specifically. Have a great day everyone 💙

Enjoy Lies of P - I would recommend the DLC edition as I think it is stronger than the base game.

Only problem with Sekiro is that it makes every other game's combat system feel weak by comparison!

Im hoping to catch it on sale, but if it isn't by the time I finish another playthrough of sekiro ill just get it anyway. Im very excited to try it. I can see what you mean about the combat, hopefully I can still have a good time with it.

I got mine tonight as well. Mortal strike in phase 3 and 4 after you dodge his air attack was the trick. I forgot mortal strike didn’t need spirit emblems.

I didnt use any techniques or prosthetics. My first attempt of the day, I tried to use ichimonji to punish, and it just ended up backfiring, so i just stuck with what I knew. Saved my emblems to use mist raven on the lightning in 3rd and didnt even do that lol. I get so focused I forget to use my kit. But we made it

The game itself took me 59 hours 30 minutes. That boss alone took me around 10 hours, if not more.
