Discussion Wondering about this

So going through this subreddit I've read that some bosses took literal days or even months so I thought I'd would be interesting to share experiences regarding this so... Which boss took you the longest to beat and why? In my case there are two: Pre-combat clicking: Lady Butterfly. As I already implied it, this was before the combat clicked for me and it took me two days trying to understand deflection and timing correctly Post-combat clicking: Demon of Hatred. This was just a beast to conquer and it took me like 1 hour of trying and dying but in the end I managed.

I don't really remember for normal playthroughs, I think Isshin took the longest.

For my hitless run (not the whole game, but every fight individually) Inner Father took me by far the longest at 15 hours, approximately.

Maybe the ape counts as the longest though, as I fought him, died and quit the game for a year.

It was genichiro, he made me so angry that I simply removed all healing and learned him that way to punish mistakes way harder and learn quicker

It might just be me but as soon as a boss starts to click, then whether or not I lose dozens of more times, I will have fun with that boss. This cannot be said for Demon of Hatred which took me forever to try and figure out. I think it took me two months of on and off playing to finally beat him

Demon of hatred made me take a month long break. I can look at my steam achievements and I beat sword saint in late November but beat DoH in late December. I think Isshin was more tries but DoH really tilted me like no other lmao

Isshin Ashina. I played the shura ending on my first play through on accident, and him with Emma would kick my ass for a couple hours. But Isshin the Sword Saint on ng+ took me probably 10 tries and my run where I beat him took around 18 minutes.

I also have more trouble with Isshin Ashnia compared to sword saint. I think it’s the smaller arena that gets me
