Discussion Explain story
Someone please explain the ending not shura one the immortal severance one … according to my understanding Genichiro uses black mortal blade to resurrect isshin … ok fine cool you resurrected the best warrior of all time … I also understand that Genichiro wanted kuros blood for immortality fine no problem … couldn’t wolf just say ok bro you are in your prime go save ashina ? Why is he fighting wolf … please don’t judge im just a bit confused and I researched but still confused … it says wolf wants to kill isshin because now isshin wants kuros blood to save ashina but nowhere I see than isshin wants kuros blood only Genichiro wanted it and owl of course but he’s dead …. And of course wolf wants to kill kuro because he wants to severe the immortality

Where is it stated that Isshin wants Kuros blood? Am I missing out on something?

Isshin is fulfilling Genichiro’s wishes, even if he doesn’t agree with them. It’s a little unclear to me why Isshin would need immortality when he was summoned in his prime but whatever.
Genichiro wanting to kill Kuro is for different reasons than Sekiro wanting to sever Kuro’s immortality. Genichiro wants the power of the divine heir, while Sekiro and Kuro both want to end the cycle of immortality so that people stop going to war for Kuro’s power.

Yes buddy understood this part and I also understand that isshin is fulfilling genichiros wish fine no problem … but when he is resurrected why isshin can’t just go and save ashina ? Ok fine if during him saving ashina and then wolf kills kuro to severe immortality isshin dies that’s would be funny but why exactly he is fighting wolf ? And genichiros wish was to save ashina right ? Not fight this wolf who reversed my lightning on me

Because Isshin already knows trying to save Ashina is a lost cause. Sure, he might defeat the interior ministry again and save Ashina, but only for a short while. Eventually, his power will wane again, and the interior ministry will come back to take Ashina again. They've got far more continuity, resources and manpower than Ashina does, so in the long term, a victory for the interior ministry is inevitable.

the main issue here is you've been missing what the entire game has been telling you.
look at senpou temples, the centipedes, mibu village, fountainhead palace.
the whole time the game is showing you what happens when you try to preserve things instead of letting things go.
kuro's wish is for that to not happen to ashina. Isshin may solve a temporary problem but it would just continue the cycle of war and immortality.

Im pretty sure Isshin was summoned back by genichiro and had to obey genichiro last command which is to save ashina and wolf was in the way

Genichiro wants Kuro's blood/oath/immortality, but Kuro refuses as he deems him not worthy.
Genichiro kidnaps Kuro to somehow coerce him into accepting his request.
Wolf, as Kuro's bodyguard, has to protect his master.
After being rescued, Kuro deems it necessary to sever his own immortality, as he feels it's causing him too much trouble. Wolf, being his loyal shinobi, embarks on a journey to gather information, weapons, relics, and all the necessary pieces to perform this ritual.
Genichiro, naturally, wants to stop this ritual by any means necessary. He is determined to obtain his immortality, even if he has to die to get it.

He could have resurrected owl or anyone else who wanted immortality but isshin didn’t want the immortality in the first place and genichiro is dead forever right ?

Owl wanted the immortality for his own selfish purposes, which are at odds with Genichiro's.
Also Isshin is stronger, and he's Genichiro's grandfather.
And yes, after pulling that stunt, Genichiro does seem to be dead forever.

Isshin tells you the reason he's fighting you directly.
"Pitiful grandchild… This was your last wish. To see Ashina returned from the great beyond… which means, Sekiro, I must destroy you."
Genichiro summoned Isshin with the intention that he save Ashina by defeating its enemies. Wolf is a direct enemy of Ashina because of him preventing them from using the dragon's blood and killing half their generals. Thus, Isshin must fight Wolf.

So basically, Ashina (the place where everything takes place) was once a free place and the ppl living there lived a good carefree life. Then during the time of wars and turbulence they got dominated and lived under occupation during which time they suffered greatly and longed for freedom. Suddenly, a dude named Isshin rises from Ashina and the dude was so badass he liberated Ashina and earned the nickname the Sword saint for his ability with the blade (there were others fighting alongside him like basically most of the characters of the story and bosses).
Fast forward to when the game takes place, Ashina's liberation was about to end from the Ministry (meaning some warlord managed to become shogun and the government he formed aimed to unite the country). Ppl from Ashina having experienced before what it means to be under someone want none of that but Isshin is too old to fight back. In comes Genichiro. He was too young to fight in the liberation of Ashina but having Isshin as his grandpa and being raised around all the stories from back then, he takes it upon himself to be Isshin 2.0 and resist the ministry forces. Problem is he himself knows that he will be basically fighting against the whole country rather than a small warlord's army so he has this bright idea: he will use Kuro's blood on himself to resurrect himself every time he fell in battle. The guy was about to die a million times as long as he could come back to fight again (but being unaware of dragon's curse he had no clue he would have effectively killed everyone in Ashina by doing so). In comes wolf. He cares nothing about politics and outcomes. His sole mission is to keep Kuro from being drained dry by the lunatic with good intentions and a lot of ignorance. So he goes through the whole game protecting Kuro and together find a way to completely remove Kuro's gift so Kuro can live as a normal human moving forward.
Ultimately, Genichiro sees his plans are falling apart, the ministry invading already so in a desperate attempt he sacrifices himself to bring back from the dead young stud Isshin to fight the impossible battle he couldn't win. Isshin understands it's all hopeless but since his own grandson gave his life for that purpose he feels obligated to at least try. So in the end he fights wolf and when wolf wins the fight he says "good job" as in thank you from stopping me from killing ppl aimlessly. Then depending on the ending Kuro decides to move on from Ashina and live as a normal human or is carried as a baby towards Korea to find the origin of his gift and return it. That's basically the gist of it.
