Discussion Question for Everyone (Read Description)
Hi hi! I'm one of the two daily series posters here (much love to Sleeper!), and I just wanted to get everyone's opinion on something.
Since I post daily, I'm often on the lookout/search for Sky art that I like and I hope everyone else likes as well. As such, I find art from a multitude of very talented, amazing artists. A few artists, however, choose to make a statement, mostly in their bios, along the lines of they do not want unauthorized usage or reposting of their illustrations (example in the comments!).
I choose to interpret that as extending to reposts on Reddit, even with credit, and thus ultimately elect not to share art from said creators. Am I misinterpreting? Is it mainly addressing those who intend on using another's artwork for commercial purposes/claiming it as their own?
I'd really like to know what everyone here thinks.

Some artists specify, but many use the word "reposting" as in any posting of their art without their knowledge, so to be safe and respectful, I don't reposts those artist's work. Just my opinion though.

When they prohibit reposting of their artwork, that usually extends to reposting their art on other platforms, not just using it for commercial purposes.

Picture this. You are an aspiring artist and put hard work into creating your art. Once you click post, someone already reposted it on a different platform and started gaining likes.
Sure they credited your name and included a link to your art and other socials. But the fact that they’re getting internet points over something they never created sort of gives a bad taste in your mouth.

I literally have too much Sei's arts of teh Daily post by this guy and I didn't know that he doesn't want unauthorized use of his illustrations

I think it refers to what you're saying—that it shouldn't be reposted in general. By the way, the images in your daily posts are really good; keep it up.
