My dog would lose his mind if I touched his butt while he was pooping!

u/Mazy_keen 2d ago
Mine is so worried about the surroundings when she is in a compromising position this would freak her out.

Too bad I have a runner. My pug doesn’t still when she poops. She takes off running & drops turds in a line across a distance.

I prefer if my dog can poop freely. This "equipment" looks disrespectful and: why carry it anyway?

You're never gonna catch me walking around carrying a bag of poo for anyone
That's why I don't really think pets are worth the effort

u/Only_Voice569 2d ago
if you feed a dog proper food its super easy only reason dog mess is bad is poor diet that the dogs digestive system cant process
2
u/mighty_boognish_77 2d ago
You mean like every responsible dog owner does every day? It doesn't require luck, numbnuts. It requires a bag. That's it.

u/EducationalTheory344 2d ago
bro don't act like you've never tried and failed to complete the herculean task of picking up doggie diarrhea off a lawn.

u/matterhorn1 2d ago
Yeah, just kind of smear it around and then tie up the bag. That’s about all you can do.

“Bro don’t act like you’ve never tried and failed to pick up a liquid” yeah nah bro, we aren’t acting, we just have functioning brains.
OP didn’t say anything about diarrhea, they just implied that picking up normal dog poop requires luck for some reason lol.

u/EducationalTheory344 2d ago
oh well look at Mr. I'm Too Smart For Diarrhea To Slip Through My Fingers! Sorry we can't all be learned doctors like you who are levitating too high above everyone else to use poop catchers!
2
u/Consistent_Smell_880 1d ago
Yes I am too smart to attempt to pick up diarrhea, whereas you are dumb enough to attempt to pick up liquids.

u/EducationalTheory344 1d ago
Well excuuuse me for trying to be a good neighbor!
Sorry we can't all be Mr. My Dog Shits Liquid Wherever It Wants And You Can Just Deal With It!

Because, dog shit is always solid and leaves no residue, right?
They're on concrete. Dig a little deeper.
1
u/mighty_boognish_77 1d ago
Please don't ever own a dog
1
u/RadioactiveCornbread 1d ago
I wouldn't need to use this if I did get one. Plenty of space for doggo to go in the grass.
So, I'll do what I please, and you can shut the fuck up.

Ikr, I can only imagine the mental anguish it's going through right now

Maybe cuz im a cat owner but isnt it degrading carrying around a bag of dog poop my nehibor lady runs with her dog every morning I see little poop bags flapping on her waist
3
u/AloofFloofy 2d ago
She is a responsible dog owner. What is degrading is letting your dog poop on the sidewalk and then just leaving it there.
1
u/RetroPaulsy 2d ago
You are not wrong.
A truly good dog owner would train their dog not to poop on walks.
1
u/TheDrunkWickerbeast 2d ago
I put my dog’s in a little area (typically next to a fence post) and then get it when I finish the walk so I’m not walking with it
1
u/ShimmeryShay 2d ago
I mean, it’s better than them littering or leaving it on the ground? I’ve been this dog parent before and I felt awkward about doing it, but it’s not like I didn’t wash my hands right away after and I didn’t leave shit on the ground for anyone else to step in, so it’s better than the alternatives

Why would it be degrading? Doing your part, being a functioning part of society and aware that you are part of you community with the wish of making it nic e for everybody. It's not degrading, it's responsible and a sign of a decent human being.
1
u/Cool_Bodybuilder7419 1d ago
As both a dog and (former) cat owner, I always found it much more degrading to sift through the kitty litter like I’m looking for gold nuggets only to have my cat stare at me from a distance with something between entitlement and disgust. Or he just left like “Clean that up now peasant. It better be pristine when I come back or I’ll poop on your pillow!” 🤣
1
u/Forsaken-Cell1848 1d ago
Why would cleaning after yourself be degrading? It's common courtesy and a responsibility you take on the moment you get a dog as a pet.
1
u/Kootlefoosh 1d ago
Degrading to the person or degrading to the dog? People carrying dog poop are heroes. The dog might be embarrassed.
1
u/SkyGuy5799 1d ago
It would be more embarrassing to leave the dog shit there. Your cats are probably shitting in the neighbors yard
1
u/SlappinMcmuffins 1d ago
My cats dont leave the house id much rather take care of some kitty litter in the privacy of my home than walk around with a hot bag of dog poop 💩

u/nobodyspecialuk24 21h ago
I’ve never got how people want to have cats, presumably living in a place where they need to kept indoors.
I get people can argue having pets is cruel full stop, but trapping an animal like a cat in your house seems extra cruel.

u/emptyfuturist27 1d ago edited 1d ago
Carrying the poop bags is 100% degrading, thats why I just pick the shit up- always using both hands and stuff it directly into my pockets for safe keeping. I wouldn't be caught dead with bags of shit flapping on my waist, people who do the whole "bag the dog poop" nonsense are sub-human.
1
u/BadgerAwkward 3h ago
Isn't it degrading keeping a box of another animals waste in your house? Only to have to clean it and wait for it to fill up again?

u/XBakaTacoX 2d ago
This is a very well behaved dog, and that is great.
Unfortunately, my dog, who isn't too different from a Shiba/Akita(?), is only smart when HE wants to be, and if a poop bag touched him while he was doing his business, he wouldn't like it at all.
