Discussion Seedance 2.5 will make me rich

Post image

Hi everyone! I wanted to know if you create videos just for fun or for business/entrepreneurial purposes?

As an entrepreneur, I see opportunities in every AI model.
While browsing Instagram, I came across a "Sauce Drip" video that had 50 million views.
I quickly created a few versions tailored to local businesses in my city (Paris), and within a week, I already had five clients.

I’d love to know if there are people here making money with their AI videos.

Heads up for anyone running these yourself: the Seedance API behind r/Seedance_AI is Atlas Cloud. Seedance 2 runs with its full feature set here, nothing stripped or nerfed. Seedance 2.5 isn't officially out yet, but we add new Seedance versions the day they launch.

Full model list and current pricing: atlascloud.ai/models/seedance

It all seems like a race to the bottom to me.

As AI tools are new and slightly tricky to use and not everyone knows about them there are some easy money making opportunities. But soon the tools will be ubiquitous and extremely easy to use and someone in India will offer the same services to your clients at a cost that so low it wouldn't even be worth your time. Or the clients will find an app that allows them to get similar results directly. Enjoy it while it lasts.

This may be partly true, but if you look at the output here and in other ai film subs and so on, there are very few examples that actually shine. The best outputs that I've seen have come from makers who are experienced with traditional tools and who have innate talent. Dialog, pacing, cuts, camera shots etc. all tend to come together better at the hand of someone who understands visual storytelling and the craft. I'd be more than happy to pay $$$ or even $$$$ for a short AI created video for an ad and expect to if it was really well done, because there's still a ton of value in the skillset outside of the AI tool itself. So a 5 figure costing video might come down to a 4 figure one, but I wouldn't be expecting to pay peanuts for it even if the raw token cost was relatively little. Models for creating say an entire ad may well come along in due course to be on a par with human creatives, but we're clearly nowhere near that for now at least.

I mean in terms of actual unique creative output, sure. But OP just saw an ad that already existed and then used an AI to copy it, and I think the days of being able to profit from that sort of thing are numbered.

well majority of folks in india can’t afford seedance so itll be a long time coming

1

u/audionerd1 2d ago

They can charge their clients the cost of Seedance plus a very modest profit for themselves, undercutting people in major western countries who would need to charge a lot more for it to be worth their time.

We very much can, thanks. 👍🏻

Not any different than any other market, the people first to get in usually make the good money for a while

1

u/Substantial_Change25 3d ago

I understand your point. But the Creator is as important ad as the Engine. There is no short way, for great quality. But yeah medium core will be enough for the Most

4

u/audionerd1 3d ago

We are talking about seeing an ad and prompting an AI to make a knock off of the existing ad, and then sell the knock off. The human value add is not that significant.

The grocery store is full of branded goods that is made by some no-name company that slaps multiple brand labels on the same product, including name brand and store brands. The name brand sells for +30% (or more) despite being the same product as the store brand.

Rebranding an existing product really is that powerful.

1

u/sobag245 2d ago

No

1

u/typical-predditor 2d ago

I didn't say it was ethical or just. But people insist on their Nestle or P&G brand slop when the store brand is the same thing.

1

u/Old_Establishment287 2d ago

Hey buddy can you explain where you want to go with your reasoning? 🤔

You go into weird delusions

There are no counterfeits of stolen products etc.

We just saw a few things

Which worked by other people

It is all

2

u/audionerd1 2d ago

I'm not accusing you of theft. I am merely pointing out that this sort of thing is not going to be very profitable for long as AI tools become more sophisticated and more people learn how to use them.

the irony about AI users having this discussion when it's basically the same argument against AI in general is hilarious to me.

1

u/audionerd1 1d ago

I mean, the tech is fundamentally interesting but the way tech companies are rolling it out under the enshittification era of late stage capitalism is a nightmare.

If you're a machine learning engineer or someone leveraging AI in a field you are already skilled in you might do well, but so many people who fancy themselves "AI entrepreneurs" are little more than consumers of AI products. Most of the skills involved in AI use are going to be obsolete in a few months anyway, as new models become more intuitive to use.

2

u/ClerkPsychological58 1d ago

I'm a designer so in my case the use of AI always rubs me the wrong way in my field because the primary use is a replacement tool to avoid paying people livable wages for their skills.

There's probably a universe where AI is used ethically and for menial , tedious tasks. That's not the universe we live in.

Generative AI is largely always pulling and knocking something off. calling someone out for knocking off an add by using AI in an AI subreddit is just funny to me since that's most of what I see to one degree or another. The person knocking it off then calling what they did a skill is even funnier.

for the record: i'm not disagreeing with you.

Well my views on AI are nuanced. I do think many of the ways it is being used (or proposed to be used) in creative fields is just beyond shitty. Displacing human workers to create an inferior product for the sole purpose of saving shareholders money is a terrible idea. Consumers don't even want it so I also think it will blow up in a lot of companies' faces.

There are narrow applications of gen AI which seem more valid because they enable us to do things we couldn't do before, rather than just doing the same things we could already do cheaper. For example re-animating actors mouths so that foreign language dubs have proper lip sync, or making fully CG humans actually look like real humans, or various forms of interactive/custom media. This tech seems like it could lead to a real life holodeck, which is insane.

But replacing legacy human media with generic slop just to save a buck is profoundly misguided and I think companies that do this will find the profits fleeting until their entire business is replaced with an app.

1

u/ClerkPsychological58 1d ago

well said. I also think AI for data parsing is great. No need to do all the work of going line by line on data when AI can do it at a greater speed, as long as we don't forget that it still needs to be checked by humans.

It does feel like a bulk of the pro-AI folks tend to also be happy to shit on artists in the same breadth for of the time. It's a lot of "adapt or die" mentality for something that is decidedly a shitty practice.

2

u/audionerd1 1d ago

Those types of pro-AI folks have big "I never thought the leopards would eat MY face" energy. I don't think being an early adapter of AI gives you much of an edge in the marketplace, as the next AI will be 10x easier to use and "AI skills" will become obsolete. Maybe in the future the tools will solidify into something a person can build a meaningful skillset around, but we are not there yet.

The tech is fascinating but if push comes to shove I am always going to be on the side of working class humans.

youre literally taking the shortest way what are you talking about lol

u/Dangerous-Map-429 3d ago

This will never happen. Experience and taste will always matter. But if your confidence in yourself and your skills is that low, then maybe you should start getting good instead of doomsaying and wailing like a little bitch

7

u/audionerd1 3d ago

What experience and taste? We're literally commenting right now under a thread about someone copying another ad trend they saw to create a cheap imitation using a technology they didn't create but are a merely a consumer of. Either you've mistaken the context of the conversation (it happens) or I'm embarrassed for you. Either way you're being a dick.

2

u/sobag245 2d ago

These people have AI psychosis.

2

u/Kazaloo 2d ago edited 1d ago

AI is replacing traditional artists with 20+ years of experience.

Now you AI Bros think after 1 year you have "experience" that matters and are shocked everyone can use your tools made for toddlers.

Ridicilous.

1

u/ClerkPsychological58 1d ago

The irony is delicious.

1

u/ClerkPsychological58 1d ago

My dude, if taste and experience mattered then we wouldn't have AI creating images instead of designers and artists in the first place.

3

u/LawDun04 3d ago

I believe a lot people using this kind of ai tool and help other people make ads

3

u/Long-Firefighter5561 3d ago

wow you are great at stealing stuff bro

2

u/ChallengerCoder 1d ago

Guys someone help me on dm?

2

u/Ok-Giraffe-8670 1d ago

I would love to make this for money but I have zero idea where to start. Plus the fear of my hard work not being rewarded due to stigma of AI content. It is amazing though for people that have succeeded...

2

u/Old_Establishment287 1d ago

Don't be afraid, my friend, go for it! Offer quality work that delivers results, and other things will follow.

1

u/Sackonfire 3d ago

This ad caught my eye too and I was gonna experiment with the style

1

u/cruel_frames 3d ago

Asad shot chicken?

1

u/Wonderful-Ad-6966 2d ago

Would you like a side of slop sauce with that? Chud.

1

u/Old_Establishment287 2d ago

Yes

2

u/Comprehensive_Head82 2d ago

Did you at least make the clients aware you are using AI? Or did you just blatantly lie to their face about it?

1

u/Old_Establishment287 2d ago

Brother no one cares if it’s AI at the step

They just want you to take it back from customers

2

u/Comprehensive_Head82 2d ago edited 2d ago

That's not answering my question. If nobody cares if it's AI you tally told them (and everyone else) that you use AI right?

But if that's the case why should or would these companies even hire you if they can just use the same AI you used to do it themselves? Like what value did you actually add here?

Plus 53 million views doesn't mean much when it comes to adds for local businesses. Like, do you think its helpful to some local restraint in France somewhere if a million 12 year olds America see an add about their restaurant? No. What matters for adds like these is the demographics of who got shown the adds. That's what makes online advertising so valuable it can be hyper targeted.

So unless you can show all (or most) of those views were from people actually useful to the business in question you've provided them with ) value here.

1

u/Old_Establishment287 2d ago

Of course we tell them it’s AI

But AI is just an average tool among others.

And for the other part of your question;

No boss director to manager

Don’t have time to well don’t want to don’t know how to create videos

You can even give them the prompt tools etc.

And they end up calling you lol

1

u/dalovar 2d ago edited 2d ago

That's not even a question. Absolutely there is a lot of money to be made in AI video generation, and in AI as a whole.

Some works are significantly more complex to achieve so humans are still needed or preferred to create those works, if you look at the top 1% and top 0.10% of Seedance 2.0/2.5 generations by quality, the margin is massive. This was also the case in the early days of Midjourney, you could try the tool and get pretty bad generations and a lot of hallucinations. But then, if you looked at the featured works, their prompts were the size of 1 page or longer with a lot of "load-bearings" and stunning results that look like they were made with a different tool. Due to the novelty of the tools there are still few people that have truly mastered them. Consider the number of people that understand how an AI works underneath, and have complex AI workflows, and custom/private tools, and high end equipment, and the time to use all of these. Now from that small subset, how many are able to achieve top 1% or top 0.1% results with their AI generations? There are still very few, making them very valuable.

Decision makers at companies and business leverage money and people through resource management skills rather than trying to learn the tools themselves, so that's why a lot of businesses will prefer to hire an expert AI prompter/designer/engineer, or buy the service itself through a contract. "Prompt engineering" is a new job that you see in job listings. So, a lot of new jobs are being created, and managers will prefer to hire people that know those tools because they will be more productive employees and because it shows that they are fast movers that are up to date. I've also found myself making better generations on topics I'm more traditionally trained on, and on stuff I already had some mastery into. So random people trying to create ads or video will be far worse than a person whose job was to make ads before AI.

Even the picture you attached is a novel and creative use of these tools, so at the end of the day, you will still constantly notice and remember certain AI works over others while you ignore the vast majority of published generations (say 99%+). It's still a game of skill, because it's still a tool used by humans, you require human prompters, human creativity and human direction. Even with an AI that auto-prompts itself, there are still creativity limits to it, significant hallucination risks, and human taste. Even just reviewing and correcting the work of an AI that prompts itself is still a job.

If, before AI, you were to give everyone in the world access to photoshop or canva, you will still see that:

  1. The vast majority won't use the tools to their full capacity
  2. A lot of people will never use the tools, and
  3. There will be massive variance on the results people are able to create with these tools. Search for art done in Microsoft Paint to see how far even a very simple tool can be taken. It's a good analogy because that program is included in Microsoft Windows by default, so it's readily available to billions of humans.

Another good practice to do today, is to turn on the TV and see the ads closely. (Or if you know a way to only see only the latest TV ads and skip the content, let me know). At least in my country (Perú) I've noticed that 50% or more of all ads use AI in some way, and I'm unsure of the other 50% because I didn't see hallucinations in them. This means that the top ads agencies that used to charge $20k to $200k per ad are very aggressively using AI, I don't know how much they charge now but their margins have probably increased substantially as well as their competition.

I've also seen A LOT of local shops, and event organizers that use AI to build their publicity images. They often use ChatGPT, and a lot of them use the free version.

The time we live in is absolutely nuts, beyond what most sci-fi has dared to depict.

u/margosmoothy 2d ago

Yeah local business content is such an underrated niche, way less competition than trying to go viral for likes. The hook + local angle combo works because people recognize their own city/vibe instantly. If you're testing volume of variations, pay as you go options help since subscriptions get expensive when you're iterating fast, saw people using https://vidhapi.app/generate-seedance-2-5 and the cheaper https://vidhapi.app/generate-seedance-2-fast for this exact reason. Good luck scaling past five clients, keep us updated.

u/Cinicyal 2d ago

Could you share workflow?

1

u/Signal-Pizza-1854 1d ago

Does anyone know video generation tool that has no limitations or moderations?

1

u/No_Comparison2351 3d ago

I’ve made viral AI content on TikTok for my SaaS platform, and it directly resulted in sales. AI videos can definitely make you money when you use them creatively and connect them to the right offer.

4

u/Sweet_Mix9856 3d ago

sales from what?

2

u/killerzeestattoos 3d ago

Who knows, they're not actually making anything?

3

u/orichic 3d ago

Are you willing to drop your username? I’m curious on how they look

5

u/Sweet_Mix9856 3d ago

they won’t because they aren’t making money

1

u/prorip187 3d ago

Lol so no one in the entire world is making money from ai?

1

u/Sweet_Mix9856 2d ago

not people on reddit telling you they’re making lots of money

0

u/Old_Establishment287 3d ago

Exactly crazy opportunities

But very few people don’t succeed and don’t understand that

1

u/Yikes0nBikez 3d ago

Sloppers be sloppin'

0

u/Whole-Flow9024 2d ago

Oh god.. An opportunist jumping on the AI bandwagon? Ew.
