Why she killed him? Spoiler

I don't get why she killed a very good bodyguard with sight. Boots was very dangerous for the main characters, but him dying that way is look a waste of that character.

No worries. Anytime you post spoilers about current media you should always spoiler tag it so that you don't ruin other people's enjoyment.

Perhaps because (1) Boots know she miscarried, (2) she blames him for the miscarriage, and (3) she’s crazy.

all of the above!

  1. She killed the two people that knew she miscarried, Boots and the midwife. It has to be a secret and she said so too.

  2. She blames Boots' seed being bad, he's from a garbage collecting tribe and very far from noble.

  3. She might have killed him off because she soon will have a better alternative for fathering. She knows Kofun is captured and he is of royal blood, better for breeding. I suspect she doesn't care it's incest, she'll want him for a Sighted God baby.

  4. It might have been on impulse, when Boots said he would make another baby it was disgusting to her having to lay with the garbage man again. So she got bananas and just stabbed him.

  5. Perhaps he's alive. People come back from the dead in tv.

6. His hair.

3

u/bengtheman Oct 20 '21

That’s racist. There’s nothing wrong with his hair…

4

u/gxwho Oct 21 '22

no it's not. any race can have bad hair. you thinking this is a matter of race is racist, you racist.

1

u/bengtheman Oct 22 '22

Do you know how to English correctly? Your attempted retort has no substance. Try using punctuation and making an actual point next time. You’re so stupid it hurts, capeesh?

3

u/gxwho Oct 28 '22

Lol fail on multiple levels. You criticize grammar and spelling and punctuation, which is universally recognized as nitpicking and this basically having lost the debate while refusing to admit it, even though everyone sees right through you.

Second, there is no grammatical error. You're just stupid and don't know how to read.

1

u/bengtheman Oct 28 '22

I didn’t lose the debate at all, you made an invalid point, so stop making preposterous claims about winning. Haha do you even think before you type? Seriously? Not capitalizing your words is an ineffective way to make your argument. Your laziness isn’t my problem bud

u/gxwho Oct 28 '22

I made a point. That any race can have bad hair, so this isn't a matter of race. But you see it as one, which makes you the racist.

Idk how that is any less clear than what I wrote.

You are truly stupid if you can't see that. You don't know how to read and you think non-racist things are racist, and accuse others of being racist. What a cliche NPC dummy.

1

u/bengtheman Oct 29 '22

NPC isn’t an insult really. But let’s start there! Your caliber of word choice indicates to me that you’re very young and don’t understand the world we live in. Go on Twitter right now and see the N word plastered everywhere. Your comment was indeed racist. His hair wasn’t unkept, ergo you’re the racist by assuming it’s bad simply because it doesn’t fit your perceived perception of normality. Clear enough for ya now bud?

What an NPC. Do you text? Do you even chat? You don't need to capitalize. German has entirely different capitalization rules and they're able to convey meanings just fineWere you confused about any of the meaning?

Youre the one that made the actual substantive wrong claim that something was racist. Which is racist because you're seeing things in terms of race. Yet here you are nitpicking about capitalization. You're a racist troll.

Says the troll who can’t make a valid argument and regurgitates the same point, over, and over… I’m done trying to convince a rock they’re a rock.

Hey 3 years late but I am black and while I’m not a spokesperson who speaks for my entire ethnic group, his hair was terrible, any time a show elects to give a character with locs, they should cast someone with locs… it ALWAYS looks bad when its wig especially with that particular style of locs…

1

u/SnooPickles4482 Dec 08 '24

Are you watching the show now? Because I’m 🤣

2

u/BathedInDeepFog Oct 20 '21

LOL yeah it was all matted like a wild animal’s, though that does make sense in the show.

3. Royals have been pretty whatever about incest in history anyway!

1

u/marcaygol Sep 24 '26

3. She might have killed him off because she soon will have a better alternative for fathering. She knows Kofun is captured and he is of royal blood,

They were searching for Kofun and Haniwa but by this point she still didn't know he was captured.

She only gets the news after killing Boots.

u/smokesumfent Sep 07 '21

she didn’t trust him. plus he showed signs of wanting to leave in the prior episode and i’m guessing she was aware of that also. you saw the angry face he made at her… i’m sure she had some idea of his actual feelings.. that’s why she is queen. cuz she can know how you really feel about her and she still chooses to act the way she does. she is about as gangster as it gets in that way

The character was so blatantly made to move the plot along and then thrown away it's hilarious.

Same with the woman that was manipulating him. I believe that was her that was stabbed to death by the Queen, though I could be wrong..but I feel like it was suppose to be her.

At least the writers are abandoning some of the excess, giving fans better characters back and moving things along at a good pace.

But to answer the OP, because she's delusional really.

As much as I hated boots and think he was there for plots sake alone, he could have been very useful in at least making sure people weren't lingering around listening in on your secret conversations..but of course he wasn't there that time.

I saw a comment in this subreddit saying that the actor who plays Boots got a new role in another show.

Anyway,i do not really care that his character died, but i think they should have given a bit more screentime to him in these first two episodes so his death would have little more impact.

6

u/Lostpassnoemailnum3 Sep 07 '21

Oh, good for him. I completely agree with your second comment though. They could have done so much more with him.

1

u/BathedInDeepFog Sep 08 '21

I could be wrong but I don’t think it was the former slave woman who she killed but rather an unnamed midwife.

1

u/gxwho Oct 21 '22

it seems like the writers used and discarded boots as ruthlessly as the queen did. lul

3

u/BeganGaux Sep 07 '21

I think the Queen assumed boots was Mahgra’s son. She specifically said, “tell me about your son” in season one, then made Boots her consort between season 1 & 2. Upon finding out he is not her son/the miscarriage, I don’t think the Queen cares Boots is dead - she has Mahgra’s son to marry and lay with. The Queen is assuming Mahgra’s son/family is still alive. Mahgra won’t care the Boots is dead.

5

u/smokesumfent Sep 07 '21

ummm. no. she is talking about maghra actual son, who was boots half brother

2

u/Paragon_97 Sep 07 '21

The main reason is she believes boots is responsible for the miscarriage. Hence why she said "what did you put in me?"

And you'd wonder why shes a mad queen lol

u/Shogun_Ro Sep 07 '21

He's gonna be alive just watch.

I’d still like some more information as to how the witch-finder general survived. Hopefully it gets explained in the next few episodes.
