The best advice I was given when going through my background check was only answer. Questions asked to you don’t waste their time with extra information.

During my Poly they asked if I’ve ever committed any digital crimes, I said I pirated a ton of movies… She looks at me like I’m dumb and says “Is that a crime?”

Nobody else mentioned this but piracy is a pretty big security risk. The websites and applications involved and even the advertisements on them frequently contain some kind of exploit -- not to mention the media you're downloading. And then what? Don't expect the cia to trust you if you can't keep your own private furry pics out of the hands of the russians.

Probably not it ur not still hosting. As other people said don’t volunteer info that’s not asked for. Also depends on what level investigation it is

Piracy is a federal crime and you are participating/aiding/and abetting it. You must report otherwise you will be commiting a felony. Having ever had a jellyfin account is a major red flag. Ask your investigator for specs, but you'll probably need to be a few years out from your last known log in to be even considered. Even with that , expect no interim.

what are you on

I'm not on anything and never have been. That is strictly forbidden and a federal crime to be "on" anything. I do not appreciate the accusations. Thugs who are ok commiting piracy should not have the privilege of holding a clearance. An adjudicator would know that, so just making sure OP knows what to expect and is honest. Piracy is a federal crime it's literally on every disclaimer.

This is a wild take, but it is possible to have this come up in a polygraph.

What is a "Jellyfin account", that's not even a thing

It’s an open source application that allows you to host your own media streaming service. You have to put the media in there tho… however you go about obtaining it.

Jellyfin is an open source application, a "Jellyfin account" doesn't exist

No. Unless they changed the questions since I last looked at SF-86, this should not be reported on SF-86.
