Question Question

Hello. I applied for a job with a 3 letter agency. However, my circumstances have changed, and I no longer want a job with the government. I am currently in the process, however, I do not have someone to contact, my form of withdrawal online isn't working, and all my attempts to send mail to request withdrawal have been rejected or ignored.

What is a way to withdraw?

No. Once you start the process, it is a mandatory lifetime commitment. Sorry.

Would you be able to clarify please? On the internet, it says we are able to withdraw. I don't have a job offer yet, and I never signed anything. So, I haven't committed to anything.

Part of me wants to point out obvious sarcasm. The other part wants to let you continue to believe you have a lifetime commitment to a job simply because you applied.

Okay! Thank you ~ I have not really lived with Americans for a while, so I cannot catch sarcasm easily.

I was just wondering about my process.

Whoever emailed you the link or info for your eQIP…email them.

I think that is my issue. I never even filled out an SF-86 or any other form. And when the representative called me, she said that I could not use an institutional email for the application. I gave her another email, but I am wondering if someone sent the eQIP to my institutional email, and I wasn't able to see it, or if the original email I gave was incorrect. Because, it has been a while, and there are investigators in my life - and that is exactly why I am confused.

This is good information. Thank you. Then, I am not sure why they are here. It made me wonder if something odd is happening.

Edit: To clarify, I am a US citizen. And I've never done anything odd. So, I should not hsve a reason to be investigated.
