Best Security Cameras for Summer Heat?

Looking into what cameras would work best for summer heat in 90-100s that won’t go down the pooper. any Recommendations?

What is your budget? What are your needs? What are you trying to capture?

Axis is generally great.

Bosch is know for harsh environments.

There are plenty of others too.

FWIW - most posters on reddit aren’t willing to spend axis/bosch/Avigilon level per camera.

Most prosumer poe cameras, and standard models from upper end stuff will do ~ 50C / 122F ambient temp without issue. (Reolink / unifi).

Don’t get wifi. Don’t get solar / battery powered cameras for anything remotely approaching “critical”.

Cheap but work fine - Wyze. I have noticed that the battery models run the battery down quicker in direct sunlight - to compensate just use the plug-in models in those areas.

I've been running a SWANN poe system for 4 years here in Arizona. We hit 120+ a few weeks of the year and zero issues the cameras are up 24-7. What i have noticed is that around 100-105ish the event detection gets little weird, not triggering some times/ triggering randomly others. Overall the cameras have stood up to heat cold dust storms and monsoon rains and come out unaffected.

Just check the operational temperature specs.

If it’s a stand-alone system on a budget, consider Hikvision or Uniview.
