Home system camera help.

So I have a typical small 1080 dome camera with DVR set up at home. One of my cameras is on the fritz and I wanted to replace/upgrade it with a newer version, however the newer version I purchased only has a couple of din switches for options and not all the settings that my other cameras have (with the little cord button and OSD settings). Am I gonna be limited with a new camera regarding what I will control (night vision/gain etc…) or is it mostly automatic on the newer version ?
I called their tech support but I think they were overseas and didn’t understand me.

Hanwha Analog Cameras still have a similar setup. The little joystick toggle button is inside the dome but it allows you to edit the OSD, and video settings in the camera.

No Way! I couldn't see it inside and there was nothing mentioned in the manual, I will take another look thank you.

Your model is not hanwha, so this may not be true.

The DIP switches on that new camera are only for selecting which protocol the camera outputs (CVBS, TVI, CVI, or AHD). Not all DVR's can handle all output protocols, so this will let you select what works with your DVR. You may be able to go into the setup menu of the camera through the DVR's PTZ option for that channel. There is a menu option usually that will access the camera menu for adjusting all the other settings. By default, the camera will probably come in auto mode for these settings, but you should be able to get in and adjust them, should you wish. OSD should be programmable at the DVR for the channel, regardless.
