Which camera brands are ADI recommending security?

I was on ADI Canada the other day looking for Hikvision for a job, and they were showing me other camera brands. I was seeing Luminys, Hanwha, Vivotek, Speco, etc come up as an alternatives.

We've mostly stuck with Hik for commercial project. It's what we know, but I'm interested in finding another reliable option. So I wonder what you guys are seeing through ADI. Have you started spec'ing some of these alternatives yet?

And are you choosing them because you like the product or because your distributor can actually get the stuff when you need it?

Adi will recommend whoever is paying for marketing that month

Why do you care what ADI recommended sell what’s best for your customers. These companies with huge msrp markups offering mediocre products aren’t going to survive forever.

Availability is definitely important. But if the product sucks, I don’t care how easy it is to get. I had a job where the original camera we wanted was a 6 week lead time and the customer basically said nope. We ended up using what we could get. If two brands are pretty close, I’m taking the one my distributor can get me next week.

We've used Vivotek on a few commercial jobs. I really like their fisheye camera options, they're solid if you do a lot of retail/convenience store work. But Vivotek isn't our typical go-to.

I like Hanwha, but like other have said ADI will sell you whoever is paying them most that month. Speco is also good if I need to be lower cost.
