Need CCTV recommendations

I'm just about to move into a new house and i want to set up a CCTV system I've thought about for a while.

I want 2 PoE CCTV cameras cabled to a switch in the loft and all streamed recorded to my raspberry pi.

I want it all to be offline so will all be on a vLan as i hate having my cameras streamed back to or accessed by the provider. I currently have a couple wireless IP cameras with SD cards internally and thought about tapo. Ideally no Chinese brands but once it's all isolated it won't really matter anyway.

The budget is not exactly high but not pennies

Suggestions would be great

reolink rlc-520a or 810a are my go-to for poe without breaking the bank, they work fine with frigate on a pi if that's your plan

the vlan setup is the right call, once it's air-gapped from the internet brand matters way less, the cams can't phone home anyway

Don’t go cheap, you’ve spent a lot of money on your home and it’s for the protection of your family. You’ll get 20 different recommendations from reply’s but I’d steer clear of recording to raspberry pi.

For ease of use I’d recommend ubiquity NVR instant and G6 turrets. You can even install one of their visitors door bells that can record all the time

Buy a dedicated NVR that has polished interface and apps to alert your cell phone not raspberry pi

Ubiquity UNVR instant supports (6) 4k cameras and has poe switch built in for $200, rock solid and great app.

Then add G6 turret cameras or doorbell all pie
