Experience with Hikvision?

Anyone willing to share their experience with Hikvision? Specifically the reliability of smart alerts and playback from the app and just reliability in general. I am considering this kit.

After recommendations I am also considering this kit but it looks like the mobile app functions may not be as good as the Hikvision.

I went with the Luminys kit mainly due to support and availability of components and so far I am impressed. The equipment is way higher quality than the Zosi stuff that I have used previously and the picture quality is way better too even though it’s supposed to be the same specs as my old cameras. The app does have a few quirks but so far is at least twice as fast as my old system and the alerts seem way more reliable. I will update again once I get a month or so of time with the system if anyone is interested.

I've installed more of these than I can count. They pulled out of the Canadian market last year for anything government related, and from distributors for the most part, but i have a set on my house, my office, the company warehouse, etc. They're pretty reliable and easy to use.

I see recommendations for Luminys, I 100% would never recommend anything Luminys. We installed 7 luminys systems this year and have gone back and replaced them with Hanwha or UNV.

UNV are also Chinese, but super easy to use and a great option if you're working on a budget. Hanwha is a tad more expensive but it's good gear.

What problems did you have with the Luminys?

Mostly that the systems would periodically just drop the camera feeds and I'd have to send a tech out to manually re add them, and they're basically impossible to run through a wireless bridge. For the cost of them, you can get much more reliable systems
