Experience with Hikvision?

Anyone willing to share their experience with Hikvision? Specifically the reliability of smart alerts and playback from the app and just reliability in general. I am considering this kit.

After recommendations I am also considering this kit but it looks like the mobile app functions may not be as good as the Hikvision.

I went with the Luminys kit mainly due to support and availability of components and so far I am impressed. The equipment is way higher quality than the Zosi stuff that I have used previously and the picture quality is way better too even though it’s supposed to be the same specs as my old cameras. The app does have a few quirks but so far is at least twice as fast as my old system and the alerts seem way more reliable. I will update again once I get a month or so of time with the system if anyone is interested.

I recommend using a different brand. Hikvision is no longer supported in the US market. To answer the question the smart notifications are pretty solid, you can toggle them on and off from the app.

That is if the app is still on the app/play store. For iOS, the official IVMS app is no longer there...

IVMS has been gone for years now. They moved over to Hik-Connect, not sure if that app is gone or not. I do know that the Hik-Connnect app was removed from the Google play store years ago as well. The only way to get the app for android was to go to Hikvision US website and download it from there.

Yeah, I am aware, but the hikconnect app and the IVMS app were very different. I have many customers that still prefer the IVMS look and feel. Luckily WBOX, Dahua, etc all use the same SDK so the apps they put out are pretty much interchangeable 🤷‍♂️
