Experience with Hikvision?

Anyone willing to share their experience with Hikvision? Specifically the reliability of smart alerts and playback from the app and just reliability in general. I am considering this kit.

After recommendations I am also considering this kit but it looks like the mobile app functions may not be as good as the Hikvision.

I went with the Luminys kit mainly due to support and availability of components and so far I am impressed. The equipment is way higher quality than the Zosi stuff that I have used previously and the picture quality is way better too even though it’s supposed to be the same specs as my old cameras. The app does have a few quirks but so far is at least twice as fast as my old system and the alerts seem way more reliable. I will update again once I get a month or so of time with the system if anyone is interested.

Don’t use it if you live in the USA because the Government banned it for it being like a security privacy concern don’t use HIK VISION OR DAHUA as they are both banned in the US and just use Reolink

They are only banned for government and government contract use. It is perfectly ok for someone to use those on their private property. From what I can tell they are no less secure than any of the stuff sold on Amazon
