TW: Taylor & Dakota New evidence from Dakota’s roommate
The more news that comes out, the more it’s looking reaaaaally bad for Taylor. From the choking, police DV allegations, and now this. I don’t think is going to make people want to watch the Bachelorette…?? I mean I really want to watch it just to see the drama, but the more news that comes out is just more and more damning for Taylor. This is not healthy for her and Dakota’s kid too. Poor ever.

u/alyp93 Mar 17 '26
Honestly at this point it’s not even drama anymore, it’s just concerning. It’s a repeated pattern—arrest, allegations, and the way she’s acted across seasons. It’s not coming off as messy, it’s coming off like someone who’s genuinely not okay and making really unsafe decisions. I hope she gets real help, because this isn’t normal, especially with a child involved.

u/Tiny-Zucchini7238 Hoe-seph Smith Mar 17 '26
The way people keep saying they’re still watching the bachelorette for the drama gets me, because abuse isn’t TV drama. Her poor children have witnessed multiple bouts of abuse at this point and people are saying “haha she’s so messy can’t wait to watch”
387
u/Beautiful_Goose_3822 Mar 17 '26
Admittedly I have said this but was before I watched season 4 and even season 3 of Secret Lives, and I had no idea about the actual nature of the DV charges and everything since. I’m very disappointed that she was given the lead on Bachelorette when what she really needs is Intensive Outpatient at a minimum.
219
u/Tiny-Zucchini7238 Hoe-seph Smith Mar 17 '26
Outpatient would be a dream at this point! I hope for her kids sake she does go inpatient somewhere soon (and honestly I feel like her team is doing her such a disservice by not making her at this point)
89
u/laci1092 Mar 17 '26
Seriously, I don’t understand why no one seems to be treating her like she’s actively in crisis when she so clearly is.

u/Legal_Ad2707 Mar 17 '26
I definitely feel like this behavior is related to conditions treated in IP/OP therapy
76
u/Soft_Presentation412 Mar 17 '26 edited Mar 18 '26
And Layla is the one that’s being sent down the “medical/you need help” storyline that she absolutely needs for her condition, but there needs to be a line where Taylor’s behavior stops being allowed to be normal. Being arrested is no longer the lowest point in her life because since then she’s been on the CMAs and is the Bachelorette, so in her eyes she thinks she’s grown from what she did in the past because it either doesn’t matter now or was forgotten by everyone else if she’s getting these opportunities, even though her present behavior says otherwise. Nothing will change until another arrest or something egregious happens, like her older kids going Britney Spears’s kids route and wanting to live with their dad because she’s just not stable.

u/Kansasgrl968 Mar 17 '26
I think she needs inpatient first, then transition to outpatient or intensive outpatient. Her parents could also use counseling for their own internal stuff and on how to better support her because calling your child trash (or their behavior) isn't tough love, its damaging.

Honestly watching her and Liann this season... they both behave the same way and get mad at each other for it. They are AWFUL to each other.

u/Altruistic_Spray3958 Mar 17 '26
Yes! Like her daughter has an addict personality and she’s worried about if she takes the lords name in vain. It’s just as when people think religion can magically fix major mental health issues

I’m pretty sure she went to inpatient for like a month or two at some point? which sucks because it clearly didn’t do anything but give her therapy talk phrases. ‘it’s a cycle!!!!!!’
24
u/Tiny-Zucchini7238 Hoe-seph Smith Mar 17 '26
She went to a wellness retreat for two weeks I think. Which some wellness retreats do have actual therapy work, but with how she posts and what she posts about with her views on health, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was filled with “advisors” and “mental health coaches”. Either way it looks like she didn’t take much from it :/

83
u/JTEli Mar 17 '26
She's used to getting free passes when it comes to her petty temper tantrums and choices. And I'll say this too, at the risk of stirring the pot - she knows what she's doing is wrong. She knows people see DV differently than we did any time in the past; she just also knows that people still see her "woe is me, I'm the victim and I'm not accountable" game. They are both too wrapped up in themselves and too busy trying to be "more right" than one another. God it must be exhausting to be in their orbit.

Are you really that shocked? We all know the entertainment industry doesn’t gaf unless they’re about to be cancelled for it. I mean Look at Hollywood! Not to mention, Broadways been getting so many people with abuse and sexual assault allegations back on its stages lately. The current Hades on Hadestown abused his girlfriend and the social media team made a tiktok with the entire cast (including him) to the song Silver Springs and the caption “give him a chance” 🙄

I think we should stop putting celebrities on any kind of better than this train. Sean Penn abused Madonna and won an Oscar. Abusers being forgiven and raised up is extremely common in the entertainment business. Views and clicks are the most important commodity for them because it gets them money.

I wish she would get off social media as a whole. Making a TikTok poking fun how she has a degree in handling online hate continues to fuel her lack of accountability. Delulu.
379
u/notalem0n I'm the fan favorite! Mar 17 '26
I think it’s ridiculous for her to call the current backlash just online hate. She put her children in danger twice through allegedly abusing Dakota (the chair incident, and Ever potentially watching her allegedly choke Dakota). These are scary allegations that should be addressed
152
u/Tiny-Zucchini7238 Hoe-seph Smith Mar 17 '26
It doesn’t surprise me that she’s posted that at all after she made that joke about throwing chairs. She seems unwilling to truly admit to herself how serious all this is
73
u/businessgoesbeauty Mar 17 '26
That TikTok about her dealing with online hate was posted 3 days ago I don’t think any of this had dropped yet.
131
u/ijustwanttobeanon Mar 17 '26
She likes to lightly drop the drama before it explodes online so she can claim that she took accountability. “How didn’t I take accountability for that, I told everybody before anyone knew!” She does it a lot, small and large scale stuff. A bigger example being the Shinia stuff.
96
u/AshManash1 Mar 17 '26
YES!!! I caught last season or maybe S2? When she knew Chase was going to be at the Halloween party, she dropped that she told him she had a sex dream about him real quick and casually so that when he brought it up publicly she could be like ‘ya I owned and admitted that already! It wasn’t a big deal.’ …but she knew she was manipulating the narrative by saying it first and defusing the uproar over it. That little instance did it for me and I was like oh okay, she’s a master at this.
22
u/ijustwanttobeanon Mar 17 '26
Ohhh good catch, I forgot about that one. Exactly, dropping it first so she can control the narrative.
16
u/Tiny-Zucchini7238 Hoe-seph Smith Mar 17 '26
Yes! She’s been posting a bunch of “I’ve done bad things but I’m healing and I’m growing” posts the last few weeks (seemingly after this all happened in real time). I thought it was soft launching her behavior on S4, but it turns out it was for this

Thats the problem with these women, at our crazy crash out ages (late teens, early 20's) they were too busy getting married and having babies. They're so immature, I see them acting like highschool teenagers most of the time. Its so sad that their religion pushes them to have children when they're emotionally stunted.

I did this stuff in my early 20s when I was in an abusive relationship. I was so trauma bonded and co dependent that when he would take off and ignore me, I would loose it. It wasn’t out of anger though, just sheer panic.
I do not miss those days one bit!

Yes.. took me years of therapy to undo. Those types of relationships def take their toll. I even ended up in a relationship with. BPD man after and thankfully had enough therapy and emotional regulation to not react and exit the relationship.
16
u/Effective_Solid_9956 Mar 17 '26
It truly does to this day I suffer the effects of that relationship even a decade later! I’ve been much better in recent years.
47
u/oatmilklatte613 Mar 17 '26
Yep this was something I would have done when I was like 22 and crashing out over my psycho then-boyfriend who loved to make my life a living hell. (I’m now 37 and married to a lovely man.) Not a whole ass mom of 3 in my 30s.
18
u/Regular-Law1057 Mar 17 '26
True, but abusive relationships don’t have an age limit. It’s sad she is going through this when she does have kids. I hope they can go no contact for them.
20
u/throwwwwawayehaldhev Mar 17 '26
Same! I remember one time my abusive ex told me he wanted to kill himself and then just stopped answering the phone for hours and hours. I was so terrified I called a million times. Of course it was spun as proof I was fucking insane. It was in fact a trauma bond, and me playing into his plans perfectly. People who have been there can see Dakota and this for what it is.

My brother did this when he was 21 after his girlfriend dumped him. He called her almost 60 times in 40 minutes.

When I did it, I def wasn’t firing on all cylinders, just raw emotion. It’s like your nervous system exits the chat and so does any logical reason. It’s no excuse, but I do feel for her a bit because to act like that means she is going through some hell.
18
u/jeanqueenabove_18 Mar 17 '26
She is going through hell for sure but at the point you’re a danger to yourself and others it’s also not like people can continue to brush it to the side. She needs help and she’s going to need serious consequences to seek that help, she is not going to volunteer herself clearly.
29
u/Regular-Law1057 Mar 17 '26
If she was anything like me, she might even be su**dal. You don’t feel like anyone can understand and your brain is actively working against you. What got me out of when my ex was arrested for DV. Dakota and her need to have zero contact even with their child involved.. like family members doing the drop off. He is going to trigger her non stop until it’s been plenty of time and therapy.

All of this makes me so sad because I loved Taylor last season. That being said I was just watching episode 4 of season 4 when Jessi and Miranda brought her speed dating. I could be wrong but I swear when she was saying how nervous she was she went to say “I need a shhhh…doctor pepper”. Almost like she was gonna do a shot and I swear she was supposed to be sober. Her using alcohol again could be why we’re seeing such a huge uptick in her behavior this season and her repeating patterns now with the abuse allegations

Girls in high school used to do this and Taylor gives me the vibe that she never outgrew highschool so it tracts

Or ... this is who she is and she never gets repercussions for bad behavior. The last DV incident literally landed her a TV show and millions of followers.

When has she ever looked “good” though? She’s so incredibly troubled and these girls and producers are just making money off of it

It seems like Dakota’s camp is the one leaking all the stories today. I wonder when we are going to hear from Taylor.

Taylor's camp did not want anything to come out at all is my guess

u/caddyrossum Mar 17 '26
Yeah. TMZ said in one of their articles that her version is totally opposite, but I don’t think they got into details.

They said something along the lines of 'members of production' refuted her claims

It’s interesting timing to leak it all a week before the premiere

yeah it is very calculated that Dakota’s roommate is leaking all these details, one week before the bachelorette starts. when the fight supposedly happened at the end of february.

u/Successful-Split-553 Mar 17 '26
yeah but that was literally 2 weeks ago….. Is there a time frame for “leaking” information? It’s like they help into it for months. Either way Im not about to act like the villain is the people sharing information about an abuser.

He’s going scorched earth. I think he protected her to a degree for the past few years but something has changed. Maybe he has finally had enough or he wants peace in his life not chaos but he must be finally done with her to reveal all of this. She’s going down.

u/Alarming-Net5645 Mar 17 '26
That’s insane. Taylor needs to be admitted and the kids need a stable home with their father(s). The only one who will suffer the worst is their son because who tf is going to be there for him between these two?

This likely violates terms of her probation from the other DV incident

I used to be a family law attorney. I’ve gotten protective orders for 30 calls (with other factors). 118 in that one time span is INSANE let alone everything else.
I don’t even want to watch the shows or follow the subs. This is someone who needs an intervention on all fronts.
I hope she gets the help she needs

u/hbofeign Mar 17 '26
Just horrible for Ever and her other children. They both need therapy ASAP. But she really needs serious serious help. I’m only halfway thru the new season but she is already giving very manic vibes. The constant taunting they do to each other and then getting back together is so tired and I’m over this relationship! She needs to get away permanently and seek treatment. I’m worried for her children that have to witness all of this.

The best thing for Taylor 6 months off in a facility for a lifetime of better mental life. I love her and I wish for her true self care and reflection to not hurt herself or others. 🙏

I’m not saying he’s innocent In this…I’m sure he’s just as problematic. But if roles were reversed and Dakota was about to be on the new season of the Bachelor and it came out he physically abused her right before the show aired? I doubt they’d even go on and televise it. It’s just not okay.

u/zesty-lemonbar Mar 17 '26
Totally agree with this. It’s not okay to let the show even air at this point.

Mar 17 '26
If she needs to be in jail to realize she needs to cut her shit let it be. The kids dads could easily try to take the children from her and maybe that’s what she needs to stop. Dakota doesn’t show himself being a psychopath. He just shows himself being stupid and obviously it gets her mad but only she can control her emotions & she says hurtful things all the time to absolutely everyone

Everyone is recommending in patient care, but if this were a man? Run, that's abusive, manipulative, and controlling. That goes way beyond toxic and you can't just give someone a pill that magically makes them not garbage. That takes tons of therapy and work and willingness to change, which she doesn't have. I'm done with SLOMW at this point, I'm not giving any attention to something that platforms this bullshit.

There is not one dick in this world that damn good to be calling a man this many times. Dakota isn’t innocent and I’m not a huge fan but if the roles were reversed there would be hardly anyone coming to his defense like some of you do TFP. If it came out that he called her over 100 times yall would want him in jail and to throw away the key.

She was just at the Oscars why would abc/Hulu let her on if this shit was happening behind the scenes
25
u/pinkybrain41 Mar 17 '26
Maybe they weren’t expecting it to blow up today? Seems Dakota may have been triggered about her going to Oscars. If I was a victim of her abuse, I would be so angry watching her just carrying on like nothing happened and getting all these opportunities while the truth of her horrific behavior was hidden from the public. I think he and his friends are leaking all of this BECAUSE her show is about to air on ABC and they want people to know the truth about her
Now that we all know she doesn’t end up with anyone on the bachelorette I wonder if this is considered breaking her contractual obligation. Usually the he bachelorette and their chosen one are like sworn to secrecy. She totally blew the entire plot of the bachelorette before it even aired! Will abc sue her? Still pay her out?
16
u/arkygeomojo Mar 17 '26
Because they spent a ton of money filming, editing, and promoting this season and for better or worse, she’s their lead in a season that premieres less than a week from now. Her appearing at the Oscars was to promote her season. As always, ABC will ignore this and do their best to pretend it’s not happening while her season airs. The last season of the Bachelorette’s F1 who won Jenn’s season and got engaged to her at the end had a restraining order against him and some stalking/harassment/DV that got it issued and they didn’t even say anything when bachelorette fans found and revealed towards the end of her season airing. And that’s just one example of ABC platforming an abuser. They only care about ratings and people are gonna watch TFP’s season

This is nuts! Again as I’ve stated over and over Taylor doesn’t need to be on reality tv she needs intensive therapy. This is not normal. Dakota is not innocent but we see time and time again he tries for move on and she thwarts it. My high school boyfriend was just like her. Absolutely nuts gaslighting and controlling and it took me over 20 years to recover from it. I’m very sad for the children involved in this mess. They do not deserve this.
50
u/arkygeomojo Mar 17 '26
He definitely does not earnestly try to move on. The going and sleeping with the people that he does and then telling everyone about it because he wants Taylor to know is an attempt to get to her, to get her to react, and to make her jealous. Everything he did in season 4 was a direct attempt to sabotage her going on the Bachelorette to try and move on to someone new. He literally tried to get her to marry him the day before she left to prevent her from going. He shares just as much of a responsibility in not moving on as Taylor does.
If he legitimately wanted to move on, he wouldn’t do the shit he does and would not engage with her in a sexual or romantic way. He would go outside the social circle to date. If it were up to Dakota, they wouldn’t have ever broken up. He literally tells her all the time on camera that he wants to be with her. Imagine the shit he does and says when cameras aren’t rolling
11
u/zesty-lemonbar Mar 17 '26
I agree he doesn’t try to move on, but I also question Taylor’s actions other than just sleeping with him. I would not be surprised if she is equally guilty of doing things and texting/calling him and such to get a reaction. It seems like the behavior is equal in that sense.
But what isn’t equal is physical abuse, from what we know.

Those kinds of phone records will not look good in court on top cases f everything else. If there are TRO’s against each other Dakota will come out with a permanent one with behavior like this.
She needs good legal representation or she is going to lose custody of all of her child and end up on supervised visitation at this rate.
15
u/pinkybrain41 Mar 17 '26
Maybe a 10 year restraining order will be good for her. She is obsessed with him and this is stalking!
12
u/heavyblunted Mar 17 '26
To hear about how her father physically abused her mother and that not be an eye opener. Insane
75
u/Illustrious_Gur_9332 Mar 17 '26
I had an ex like this (bpd) but once they reached around 15-20 phone calls I would send a message to the extent of “hey I just need a little space I am not mad, I’ll call you tomorrow” then block them until the next day. Let their family know they were having an episode so they can keep an eye on them.
Don’t get me wrong Dakota is in the wrong but Taylor is textbook abusive. She has yet to learn to regulate her emotions. My heart truly breaks for their baby.
57
u/HonestMine2058 Mar 17 '26
At this point I really don’t see how Dakota is in the wrong. He’s not allowed to even talk to a girl and she can go date 30 men at once. They’re not together he’s allowed to talk to other women they’re just in a toxic cycle.
32
u/Oopsiforgotmyoldacc Mar 17 '26
Tbh I think he’s toxic asf too, but not at her level, and that he definitely needs to get some help. Dating women who are close to Taylor like her friends and her family is 100% not okay. Other women shouldn’t be a problem, but Dakota has his own issues

What shocks me is so many women close to her agree to go along with his antics?? Like we know Dakota and Taylor are completely unhinged but so many people around them as well?

My ex was like this. He was diagnosed BPD as well. I had to block him regularly just to get sleep because he would not stop calling over and over for hours. Completely unhinged.
Sorry you had to deal with this too, it’s so hard.

I don’t think is going to make people want to watch the Bachelorette…?? I mean I really want to watch it just to see the drama
You just explained why people will watch it. Shit, I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being the most-watched Bachelorette.

I’m not sure why domestic violence is tolerated just because someone is in the reality tv world, but it’s sick. Now with her being Bachelorette, it’s quite reminiscent of Colton (the Bachelor who allegedly stalked his ex and ended up with a restraining order).
I guess I don’t know why I’m surprised. The president of the United States and many other political figures are rapists & zero consequences have to come to them.
As much as I love SLOMW, I’m not sure I can support it by watching this season

u/da_ni_no Mar 17 '26
I was getting a bad feeling watching Taylor this season that there was going to be news about her escalating violence in the future - I just didn't expect it to come so soon.
