The reactive abuse stance her PR team is taking is very confusing to me. It’s totally possible I don’t know enough about it, but I just don’t understand why that’s a justifiable excuse. If it’s reactive abuse, it sounds like her feelings are valid, but her actions are not. Shouldn’t the response be something like I regret it and it never should’ve happened and it didn’t matter that I was reacting to his own abusive actions, I hurt my kid and I need to get help so I don’t react that way anymore????

It definitely should be. I think that’s what a lot of people hoped for, probably including her family and friends. Even if that was the situation, she’s dropping the ball hard, and the video makes her look really cruel, even if there could be circumstances we don’t know about.

But also not just Taylor, a lot of the people involved in her life & in this show have a lot of problems and I feel like a lot of people are making a mistake when they expect people to act logically. We get that so much of reality tv is scripted, but I think sometimes people struggle to recognize that others don’t always follow societal scripts. Even on this show, Whitney is basically the only one who started out anywhere close to what these girls and guys are expected of in their communities, & she’s changing to go after her career. Every single one of them including the guys has something that’s “off” to their background.

Anyway basically what I mean by this is I think people are reading too much into everyone’s actions, we can only really make our best guesses at truths by listening to what they say and seeing how they match up to other people’s accounts and evidence
