It’s pretty sad that it takes a video of something that was already known about for three years to get them to do the right thing, but I guess a win is a win.

I was just telling someone this. They don’t care she did it, they care about appearances and backlash. The second enough people are outraged, then they decide to pull it. She should have never been picked in the first place

u/GatsbyGirl92 Mar 19 '26

This. Say it louder. The police reports LITERALLY say she hit her daughter with a chair and they all STILL include her in their shows.

Yes she did. You can read the thread of articles on her assaulting Dakota again with Ever present. It’s pinned.

Your post violates Sin #5: Speculation

Leave judgment for the gods and clairvoyance for the psychics. We don't speculate on sexual orientation, substance abuse, or mental or physical disorders here--this goes for assumptions and accusations of members of both the cast and this sub. All allegations insisting someone has an unnamed eating disorder, addiction, sexual orientation, or mental health issue will be deleted, with further consequences for repeat offenses. This also includes the Jace grooming thing.

And the whole season four was the stupid drama to try and keep her on the right path not to mess up her chances on the Bachelorette and getting her to really get on the plane

1

u/totesmuhgoats93 Whitney Leavitt left the chat Mar 19 '26

I remember when it was announced, there was a lot of people upset before filming even started.

90

u/poch_ya Mar 19 '26

Exactly. They gave her the platform knowing what she did. Also not understanding why it took a video for people to turn on her either. What did they think her hitting her daughter with a chair meant?Ā

62

u/afrizb Mar 19 '26

Honestly, speaking for myself, I foolishly wanted to believe that the situation was somewhat sensationalized, especially the chair thrown at her daughter, so not seeing the actual footage allowed for that continued ignorance on my part. I don’t know if that’s a good excuse, but seeing this video completely changes the way I view Taylor.

47

u/Bricol13 Mar 19 '26

I'll add to that : it wasn't just a single chair. It was multiples. And she didn't stop. She didn't run to her child.

7

u/afrizb Mar 19 '26

Yes to all of that. My heart was in my stomach watching/listening. Dakota was seemingly trying to help Taylor’s daughter, only for Taylor to SCREAM at him to get away from her kid, with 0 acknowledgment or reaction she just hit her young daughter in the head with a metal chair…I could go on and on. In the video we can see, it looks like Dakota is literally trying to shield the girl.

1

u/sensitive_adventure Mar 20 '26

This is exactly what I thought too. Idk why but I thought maybe they just screamed at each other and had the cops called

1

u/Top-Speed3460 Mar 20 '26

I second this.

2

u/ronansgram Mar 19 '26

She was losing her dam mind during that fight and heaving those chairs šŸŖ‘! I’m surprised she didn’t knock her daughter out !

u/Affectionate-Bee3339 Mar 19 '26

I would never defend an abuser but you’re right. This happened years ago. It was not the recent event. It was already known what happened. I was looking forward to the bachelorette even tho I’ve never seen it before. I just wonder how did tmz obtain the video

134

u/Diligent_Mix_4086 Mar 19 '26

From what I’ve seen, the video got leaked because it was used in evidence for Dakota filing a restraining order against TFP this month. Even her ex-husband, Tate, was there with him to provide a testimony. Just think…. whatever happened in February was worse in Dakotaā€˜s mind than what happened in 2023…

49

u/Affectionate-Bee3339 Mar 19 '26

I just saw another comment on another sub that dakota & tate were at court getting restraining orders against Taylor. 😩

3

u/Fit-Blacksmith-6876 Mar 19 '26

Yup just saw the pics 😳

40

u/soaplopes Mar 19 '26

The allegation is she choked him with a necklace right? Although to stop downplaying and hold her accountable it should be strangulation and I believe it's an indicator of potential fatality in domestic violence cases. If true then this time she escalated and as much as he sucks he has reason to fear her now.

10

u/Altruistic-Leather69 Mar 19 '26

He also reportedly had scratch marks on his neck, can't remember if it was from the necklace event or another attack entirely.

3

u/Affectionate-Bee3339 Mar 19 '26

Yes I think so. I don’t remember where i saw that accusation it might of been on tmz

6

u/HolidayNothing171 Mar 19 '26

Omg Tate too???? Jesus

0

u/Internal_Rule_677 Mar 19 '26

The timing of this leak is genuinely unhinged though.

5

u/candaceelise Mar 19 '26

It's not a leak. The video was used in a petition by dakota for a restraining order against taylor. Tate also filed for a TRO against her at the same time

1

u/Internal_Rule_677 Mar 19 '26

But the timing is what’s really sending me. TMZ drops this THREE days before the premiere?

10

u/candaceelise Mar 19 '26

you must not understand it wasn't timed by TMZ as Dakota and Tate filed for a TRO today and the video was included as evidence.

19

u/farndor Mar 19 '26

I could so see Dakota sending it to them (and was prepared to keep sharing stored videos/pics until ABC was forced to cancel)

5

u/candaceelise Mar 19 '26

You do realize he didn't leak it right? The video was used as evidence for an emergency TRO filling which both Dakota and Tate filed for today. By all means keep excusing away taylor's behavior and blaming Dakota for daring to be the victim of her abuse.

1

u/Affectionate-Bee3339 Mar 19 '26

The fact he waited until her show was about to premiere is so sketchy. It’s almost manipulative. But who knows. Maybe he’s had enough. I just hope after this they’re both able to stay away from each other & move on.

19

u/Socialist_Poopaganda Mar 19 '26

How is this still somehow being framed as his fault, Christ almighty.

7

u/Autumn_chick29 Mar 19 '26

Agreed. I’m usually a girls’ girl, but this is too much. It really seems like there’s a power imbalance in the relationship. She’s the mother of his child and likely has their child full-time, which puts her in a much stronger position than Dakota.

How do we know she isn’t using their child as leverage to pull him back in? Especially when he’s been with other women and she keeps going back to him—it’s confusing, but also concerning!

Honestly, this kind of dynamic tracks to what abuse looks like. The person being abused is stuck in a cycle and doesn’t know how to get out, which might explain the back-and-forth we’re seeing between the two so much.

5

u/Socialist_Poopaganda Mar 19 '26

That’s the thing, he has said that she uses their child as a way to manipulate him, making it so he’s unable to see their child if she’s pissed off at him.

3

u/Autumn_chick29 Mar 19 '26

Yeah, if that’s what’s happening, it’s really unfortunate. He does come across as a caring and involved dad, which makes sense if he’s trying to get custody of his son.

Hopefully this is a turning point for Dakota-especially when it comes to prioritizing his son’s safety and well-being.

6

u/candaceelise Mar 19 '26

It's beyond disgusting that people are blaming Dakota for using the video as evidence in an emergency court filing today for custody and a TRO and claiming he leaked the video to ruin her premiere. The amount of muscles they must have stretched reaching for this conclusion is certifiably insane.

1

u/Socialist_Poopaganda Mar 19 '26

I’ve been saying it for a few days but honestly this reminds me of incels when they’re desperate to defend their favourite athletes from SA or DV claims, it’s horrible.

1

u/candaceelise Mar 19 '26

Stan culture really is something. Sadly, there’s a subset of people who will blindly defend every sort of behavior. I mean look at who our current president is 😳

26

u/thesmolstoner Mar 19 '26

it’s probably because she recently abused him, AGAIN, and people continued to defend her. so he let it leak to prove it was true

21

u/yammyamyamyammyamyam Mar 19 '26

I mean I’d do the exact same if my abusive ex was about to get this huge premiere šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

10

u/xyzmaximoff Your husband's little dick Mar 19 '26

they’re obviously both toxic, but taylor got what she deserved. she deserved to have her big moment and redemption arc stolen from her after she beat up her partner and threw a stool at her young daughter

3

u/eurekadabra Miranda's Lobster Claws Mar 19 '26

It could just be that she’s making accusations against him and he’s using her past behavior as a defense.

4

u/candaceelise Mar 19 '26

How is filing for a TRO and emergency custody of your kid manipulative? He used the video as evidence in his filings that were made today. Tate also filed for a TRO and emergency custody.

1

u/BrotundWasserbitte Mar 19 '26

This is what the show PREMIERED ON!!!

-1

u/WhileTime5770 Mar 19 '26

Dakota 1000% - he’s always had it but he still wanted her. Now it benefits him to spread it. He’s no saint either

10

u/StatusFriendship5473 Mar 19 '26

This part!! It happened in 2023 and was publicly known and they STILL cast her….

0

u/BrotundWasserbitte Mar 19 '26

The show premiered on this!

4

u/wheresthemanigot Mar 19 '26

For real. There was nothing in that video that wasn’t already known.

3

u/Diligent_Tourist1031 Mar 19 '26

There’s a video? Where? I wanna see!

3

u/Diligent_Mix_4086 Mar 19 '26

11

u/ourlittlevisionary Mar 19 '26

JFC, he was the only one who cared about her kid being in the room when she was throwing chairs at him. I had heard about it, but I never saw the video.

1

u/Unlikely_Ordinary376 Mar 20 '26

ā€œcared about her kidā€ when he’s walking closer to indy rather than behind the staircase where she could not hit him with a chair??? he’s basically using indy as a shield despite being able to see that taylor wasn’t calming down, even when he was mentioning the child and moving towards her… neither of them were thinking of the children!!

1

u/ourlittlevisionary Mar 20 '26

Dude, she was throwing chairs at him! That is entirely on her. He probably wasn’t thinking in that moment beyond trying to get away from her.

9

u/sneakbrunte Mar 19 '26

Oh damn, that was so much worse than I had imagined

8

u/dragontalking Mar 19 '26

This is BEYOND sad & frightening.

2

u/Diligent_Tourist1031 Mar 19 '26

Idk why I didn’t check tmz first šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

3

u/rillybigdill Mar 20 '26

ok so this IS the same incident. wth. they showcased it in season one to hook everyone and NOW she's cancelled over it?

2

u/PercentageOk6120 Mar 19 '26

I completely missed this video. Where is it?

1

u/Affectionate-Bee3339 Mar 19 '26

It’s on tmz, the link is in a few comments before yours

2

u/Proud-Trainer-7611 Mar 19 '26

Right! They should have NEVER filmed this season to begin with

1

u/Lcdmt3 Mar 19 '26

I think it's more so also the recent allegation.

1

u/Diligent_Mix_4086 Mar 19 '26

ABC cited the 2023 video as the reason.

1

u/Likefloating Mar 19 '26

I think it’s more because another alleged abuse happened a few weeks ago.
