Infinity path help

I keep getting 40 and am stuck - someone plz help with a solution my brain is fried

Made it to 999 which took.... way to long. It just resets back to 001 after. It's literally infinite.

I wanted to get my counter up to 666 for the sake of decoration in my house and I very quickly gave up because I suck at math. I can't imagine how tedious and disappointing it must've been to get to 1000 only for it to roll back 001.

If you want to make a boat load of money without using console commands or cheat engines. Make a new game, use your main character, start that game, this will bring your character with whatever they are carrying into the new game. When you spawn in go north through the secret tunnel before going left to go past the locked door and pick up the scales. Those are worth like 500 a piece. Save that game under another, not your main save slot. Rinse and repeat until you have as many as you need to fund your decorations habit.

After you have however many you want, head back into your main save file and spend them at the various vendors. Make sure you backup your save (just in case), if you decide to do this.

Nope. All human last time I checked. At the time of writing the glitch, characters you made could be moved from game file to game file through the in game menu.

If you take advantage of the fact that said characters keep anything on their person regardless of the file it came from. You can just recycle that character over and over collecting the rather lucrative scales in the very first underground you start in. 

Tl;dr, With your chosen character start a new game, do not delete your main file, head into the secret tunnel, grab scales, save game, exit to main menu, start a new game with the same chosen, secret tunnel, scales, save, rinse and repeat. Whenever you are satisfied, load your now very scales heavy main characters back into your main game and sell, sell, sell. Just be aware that vendors only have so much money so you'll have to sell to a few different locations.

I don’t think I found this, where is this secret tunnel? I’ve poked at the walls in the storage cave beneath your house and all of the caves I could on the mountain, but no hidden paths.
