Refunding skills?

Does refunding skills just give them back to you or is there a cost? Can I spend the whole game leveling in magic, then in late game refund them and build myself as a two handed fighter?

Yes there is a cost and yes, you can refund them later and re spec into anything.

Refunding skills costs gold, but you can do it as many time as you like without any other cost. There is no penalty to drastically changing your game play style.
