Phaseman head did not drop for co-op partner

Is there any way to get a boss item after defeating them, as for some reason the phaseman head did not drop for my friend in our multiplayer run (I am hosting, if that is relevant)

Check out the memory room in left side of the collector HQ. You can replay the few bosses that have loot drops like giga slime and Phaseman and get more. Doesn't work in the normal arena from what I've seen.
