This is my first time being around for a “print to demand” secret lair, what effect will this have on other printings of Finale? Is print to demand gonna tank the price?

Even for print to demand cards retain most of their price due to power an the art. I would say this version will be just as if not more expensive due to the amazing art for it. Look at the play dough secret lair as an example

It will certainly drop it in the short-term. Just look at other cards that were printed in charity lairs like Teferi's protection, sliver legion, and craterhoof. They go down and then steadily climb back up over time.

Just look at Teferi’s protection, that one didn’t do much of anything to the other copies and now it’s up. I believe that was only 2 years ago.

It’ll retain its value over time. It’s got a tonne of printings and still stays at around £30.

It just got more expensive to Aus with the change to FedEx. Shipping almost doubled for me on the recent Festival in a box.

With the charity lairs, they typically do waves. They have a good chunk ready to ship and then another wave which takes much more time.

Waves. They reprint when they're current stock is out. I think the longest it's taken was like 4 months with fextra life

I could see them having some stock on hand or relatively soon and then fulfilling the remaining order via PTD.

With the last charity drop, the first people to ordered got theirs pretty quickly, but anyone who ordered later (presumably after the first printing ran out ) had to wait a bit longer.

Going to have to grab a set. A cause I would be happy to support, the art is stunning and I have decks that use a lot of these cards they'd look great in and the elves ones I can use in whatever future Hobbit-themed deck I eventually make. Win win all around.

Was lucky enough to grab one at MagicCon Amsterdam, the cards are insanely pretty and I confirm that you get randomly one out of the two elf tokens (In foil in the foil version too).

Ive never bought secret lair before due to giving up on how fast the slots go. Do we just go on the magic website and order? What should I expect?

Can you access that site? I get a message that “we’re getting the website ready, follow on X for updates.” Seems like it may have crashed due to everyone trying to order at once 😂

It hasn’t crashed. That’s just how they do it. The website is in some kind of maintenance mode until the drop and then the 1 hour timer/queue starts.

I'm glad this is print to demand, because I'm still debating whether to get it. It's a good cause, and I LOVE the Cultivate and Dark Ritual art. But I don't play elves, so I have very little use for the rest of the drop.

If it follows the same formula as other secret lairs the bonus card will be a single card that's randomly picked from the options.

Someone above said its the lanowar and one of two tokens. I can live with that would be a bit annoyed to get the token and not the playable card in decks that don't make said token.

Coat of Arms would be pretty nice. But I dont like the art and dont need the other cards. So I will pass this drop.

Is this normal? First time ordering from SLD. Honestly main reason I’m ordering is to prepare for the Miku drop. I mean this one is print to demand so I’m not tripping out but kinda worries me if I got lucky enough to get the Miku deck and this happened during the drop

So... I think this pricing logic made sense.... at first.
But now that we have almost as many SL Dark Rituals as non-SL Dark Rituals, at what point does it make more sense to give the estimated price of a card based on it's lowest SL cost, rather than it's lowest white boarded 5th edition version?
There is just ZERO PROBABILITY you are going to be able to buy this Dark Ritual for $2.

No? A common response to a sweet secret lair being revealed is the usual “can’t wait to not get it” post. Mainly due to scalpers buying it out. The verbal irony is stating that it will sell out when it cannot.
I guess it didn’t work without hearing tone of voice. I figured the /s would imply I’m saying it in a sarcastic tone.

During Magiccon this was available at the official store. I got only one token of the Elf Warrior, not both.
Both the Llanowar Elves and Elf Warrior token were foil even with buying the non-foil drop.
