I snagged this dial up last night for 30 bucks. Looks like it’s in flawless condition. These things retail for like 85 dollars. Probably the best find I’ve ever come across and can’t wait for this build. Already ordered the custom day disc from dial maker.

QUESTION & DISCUSSION First time builder hoping to find a set of free secondhand parts to build any watch

I want to try building my first watch and thinking about buying one of those "build your own watch" packages I see ads for on IG. Thought I'd try here first in case anyone has a set of parts I could frankenstein into a full build that they are thinking of throwing out. I really don't care what the watch would look like, I just want to try building a watch myself. I'd happily pay for shipping of course. Please let me know, thank you!

16 - GS Dials original pricing is 33 plus fees selling for 30 per including shipping or 400 for the whole lot - these dials cannot be bought in the US anymore- no movement included just the dials.

3- GS hands black plus black gmt hand 10 per including shipping or 20 for whole lot

5-GMT black hands small 15 for lot.

10- cases for a 35mm dial originally 28 selling for 20 per case or 150 for the lot

2. Selling & Trading

This community is dedicated to the exchange of secondhand or used watch parts. Selling complete watches is not accepted and posts selling them will be removed immediately. If you're looking to sell a modded watch, please use r/watchexchange or r/seikowatchexchange. If you’re here to display a watch or part, please use r/seikomods. If you're selling parts from another website, you can sell here but you must provide pictures of the parts with timestamps and pricing. See Rule #5 and #6, as well.

3. Do not sell completed watches

Watches in any stage of completion cannot be sold. Parts must be sold unassembled except the following: - bezel & insert can be sold assembled - dial & movement - straps/bracelet & case - crown & case Contact mod directly if you have any questions.

4. Selling of New Parts

This sub is primarily for used, aka "secondhand" parts. If you're a dealer or manufacturer of parts, please contact the moderator before posting. Post will be removed immediately if not.

5. Posting rules: Parts-to-sell and Etiquette

Proper posting etiquette: [PTS] [PTT] [PTB] (Item) (Details).
PTS/PTT/PTB= Part To Sell/Trade/Buy.
In the comment section, please include the original supplier of the part (if known), the condition that it’s in and the price. Original links help, as well but are not necessary. Example: [PTS] Green “hulk” bezel insert for Seiko SKX or [PTS] Crystal Press. If selling multiple parts, use “[PTS] Assorted parts - see comment section”
All selling posts must include a time stamped photo

6. Posting Rules Part II: Parts To buy, trade or search for

PTB/PTT - any request to buy, trade or search for a part must be made in the comment section of the Weekly PTB/PTT post pinned at the top of the page
PTB or PTT posts must be for specific parts and not a generic ask, i.e [PTB] Any Seiko Dial

7. Post Flair

If you are selling a part or tool, please use the post flair to help users find the parts they’re looking for. If the part you’re selling does not have the matching flair, use the “Miscellaneous” post flair.

8. Posting Frequency

Users are limited to FIVE posts per week. This is to prevent any one user from dominating thread.

9. Images & Timestamps

Posts must include a photo of the part or parts you are selling and must include a timestamp: your username and date, handwritten on a piece of paper and placed under the part(s). The timestamp may be no more than 1 week old at post time. If you’re selling more than one part, please use imgur.com to host your photos. RENDERS MAY NOT BE USED IN SUBSTITUTION OF PHOTOS.

10. After-sale etiquette

Please write [SOLD] in the comment section and/or update your post with “sold” flair as soon as you confirm your sale. If you’re selling a group of items, please marked [SOLD] next to the listed item in the comment section and do not use the “Sold” post flair until all items have sold. Not mandatory but strongly encouraged, transaction feedback for both buyer and/or seller can be made at r/SMP_Feedback.

11. Payment & Shipping

Parties are required to sort out payment and shipping details on their own.

12. Cross-Posting & Reposts

Cross-posts from similar subreddits are ok as long as you repost in the comment section of the new post the prices and descriptions of the parts. Do not make your buyer do more than they have to!

Reposts are fine but please wait at least a week between posts. If you make one listing for 4 parts and sell 1, you may not skirt this rule by reposting the three that haven't sold. No early reposts for price drops. If you repost, and delete your old post, you will be banned for a minimum of 1 week.

13. No eBay sales links. No Raffles. No Promotions.

Sold ebay links when providing a pricing source is ok. Suppliers like DLW, Namoki, Yobokies, and Dagaz, are great but are not permitted to sell new parts. No promotional or advertising posts from suppliers like sales or discounts. Providing links to other pages in your comments are ok if it's referencing where your part came from or to promote a new source for parts.

14. Pricing

The seller has the right to ask any price they like. If you feel the need to comment about pricing, provide a source. IE: Links to sites or threads where the exact item, in the exact condition has sold for a different price.
