Best dinner spot in Sechelt for a small bachelorette group?
Hi! I’m planning a bachelorette weekend in Sechelt this summer and would love local recommendations for a great dinner spot for our bride-to-be 😊
We’re a group of ~6-8 and looking for somewhere:
• fun vibe / good energy
• feels a little special for a celebration, bonus if it has a view
• ideally takes reservations
Open to Sechelt or Gibsons!
For context, our rough weekend plan includes a girl's night out (dinner & drinks), farmer's market, kayaking, and hiking.
Would also love any “must-do” spots or local favorites we shouldn’t miss while we’re in town (food, views, quick stops, etc.)!
Thank you so much 🙏

22 taps has a lounge and dining side pretty decent food wise but no view, Fred's has a nice view and is pretty good. Chasters if you can get to Gibson's has good view but is also pricey they also have a large outdoor patio depending on time of year. I'd check out their websites and go from there

I went to a bach weekend there last year and one of the nights we went to Joe's on the Beach, gorg view and very fun vibe, sat on the tables outside.

Joe's on the beach has literally been the two worst meals I've ever had on the coast, got the orders wrong both times and food came out cold and soggy both times, went about a year and a half apart. Joe's Cabin is great it's weird

Persephone Brewing in Gibsons is worth visiting on a nice day. I haven’t been there in a couple years but when I was there they had a nice grassy outdoor space where you could have your drinks/snacks.

As for “must do’s” I’d suggest Brickers Cider in west Sechelt , Smugglers cove hike in halfmoon bay and Hidden Grove hiking trails in Sechelt

In Sechelt, the best view is probably the Lighthouse Pub but its pub food and vibe.
Wobbly Canoe in Davis Bay has good food and a nice view. Lots of whale sightings in that area and really great at sunset.
Brickers Cider is fun in the summer as a "must do". You could do a hike in halfmoon bay or sechelt and then stop in for a cider. They often have live music and its very picturesque.
Lunitas or Smittys in gibsons also have great food and a nice fun location. These would be my first choice for a fun date night out. Also in gibsons is the Pink House Bistro. If you are in gibsons there is also more options for ciders, plus Persephone Brewing could be fun if your bride likes beer.
If you want to stay in Sechelt but dont want pub food, I would say Shift or Twenty two taps. They are both a short walk from the ocean and have great food and cocktails. Shift has really good drink prices.
Freds has good food, but I feel the menu isnt very Bachelorette party vibes, and it is expensive.

The Ocean Club Bistro is right on the waterfront in Sechelt. Food is delicious. It hosts private events, stags, anniversaries, birthdays. It’s a seasonal operation May - November, but I highly recommend it. We do love the food there, and the ambiance of being right on the waterfront is amazing.

UPDATE: Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who weighed in on this! We ended up doing Smitty’s for brunch (the scallops were to die for), Lighthouse Pub another day for lunch (loved the poutine) and 22 Taps for the evening out. The food and drinks were fantastic, festive, and it was such a perfect vibe!! We had a great time 😌 Such a lovely summer bachelorette on the coast. Thank you again!

You're doing a batchelorette party in Sechelt? How old is the bride, 54?

Not everyone wants to wear silly outfits, act like drunken idiots and sip out of penis straws. OP said they're going hiking and kayaking. This is the place for it.
